Have you ever dreamed of being a superhero in one of Disney’s incredible movie franchises? Well, we’ve got good news for you! Disneyland Resort is currently hosting auditions for iconic characters from the Black Panther (2018) film.
Disney’s Career website currently features several openings for various performers in the Resort, but the Dora Milaje is a special group of women! An elite class of warriors, the powerful unit is responsible for protecting Wakanda’s throne, no matter the cost.
Disney fans interested in auditioning for the role can start with an online submission. One important note for those applying for the job – performers are required to shave their heads!
Interested applicants must submit photos of themselves to see if they qualify for the Disney character look-alike role. The Dora Milaje entertain Guests at the Avengers Campus in a show entitled, Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje.
The performance consists of three strong and inspiring women dressed in Wakandan garb, twisting and twirling their spears, delighting Guests of all ages. Casting requires those interested in the role at Disney California Adventure Park to have a “full range of body movement with high-energy performing abilities and imaginative personal interaction skills.”
Recently, we reported about fans’ appreciation of the progressive performance, with a particular TikToker sharing her delight in Disney’s show of inclusivity. The compliments were sparked by a video featuring a plus-size performer in the trio of powerful women warriors.
Black Panther has been on the minds of Marvel fans as of late. A sequel was announced at this year’s Comic-Con event in San Diego. Entitled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), the movie is expected to release this November.
