Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the quintessential experiences for any Disney fan, and is widely considered one of the things every Disney fan should experience at least once. However, one key aspect of this fairy-tale dining experience has yet to be included since the restaurant re-opened during the pandemic: Character Dining.

After the entirety of Walt Disney World closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many experiences were altered or vanished altogether. For Cinderella’s Royal Table, that meant a key selling point would either need to adapt or disappear.

In order to adapt to a post-pandemic world, Cinderella’s Royal Table no longer offered the traditional Character Dining experience. Instead of multiple Disney princesses coming up to tables to greet Guests, Cinderella herself would arrive, give Guests a wave hello, and leave shortly afterward. This left Guests very little opportunity for a photograph and even less room for interaction, which made many Guests skeptical of the restaurant’s pricey demands.
