A former Disneyland Resort cast member recently shared one of the most bizarre and shocking incidents he encountered while working at the Southern California theme parks. Comedian Brad Williams recounted the surreal experience during his appearance on the “Rulebreakers” podcast, telling the story of a Disney Park guest who threw her baby at Mickey Mouse.

Williams, who was working as a character attendant for Mickey Mouse, described the scenario as the “craziest” experience he had at Disneyland Resort.
“There’s a time where you’re out there with Mickey and then a half hour goes by and it’s really hot outside,” the former Disney cast member explained. “So you gotta take Mickey away.”
As the character performer inside Mickey Mouse clearly needed a break, Williams explained how they would improvise, telling guests things like, “Hey, Mickey’s going to go get a quick glass of lemonade and then he’s going to be right back out here. We’ll do some more pictures and autographs. So just stay right here.”
While Mickey Mouse and his character attendant were on their way out for the break, a guest stopped them, asking for just one more photo. “No, no, no, one photo, one photo,” the guest pleaded. Williams calmly explained, “Hey. Stay right here. Mickey will be back in 35 seconds. Just be cool.”
But the guest didn’t listen. As Williams and Mickey were walking away, she suddenly shouted, “MICKEY!” and the next moment, time seemed to freeze.
“Mickey turns,” the former Disney cast member recalled. “She was holding a baby, she throws the baby. She lobbed a baby, airborne, slow-motion.”
Incredibly, Mickey Mouse, always quick on his feet (or paws), reacted just in time and caught the baby in his arms. The woman, seemingly unfazed by the unusual situation, took her photo, grabbed her child, and casually walked away, thanking Mickey as if nothing extraordinary had happened.
“She takes the photo…grabs her baby and goes, ‘Thank you,’ and just wanders away,” Williams concluded.
The hosts of the “Rulebreakers” podcast were stunned, with one host responding, “What the f**k?” in complete disbelief.
If you’re ever waiting for a Disney character who leaves their meet-and-greet location, it’s always best to stay calm and wait your turn. Mickey Mouse and his friends will usually return after a brief rest!
