Disney is dropping lots of exciting news this week. To start off the road to Destination D23, exclusive details are coming each day this week, starting with Zootopia (2016)! Zootopia is about a fierce bunny named Judy Hopps who becomes a police officer determined to show everyone who ever doubted her she could do it. The beloved characters and the film have inspired a land of all things Zootopia coming soon!
Shanghai Disney Resort is the lucky park to get Zootopia: Hot Pursuit. The land will encompass a brand-new attraction, merchandise, dining, and entertainment.

‘Zootopia’: Hot Pursuit
The first experience Guests can look forward to is the Zootopia: Hot Pursuit attraction, where Guests will have to join Judy and Nick to save Gazelle. “Here you will traverse across Zootopia’s iconic terrains, sliding across the ice of Tundra Town, prowling for fugitives through the streets of Sahara Square, sharing a too-close-for-comfort encounter at Mystic Springs Oasis, and plummeting from the canopies of the Rainforest District all in pursuit of Bellwether and her gang to track down Gazelle,” Disney Parks Blog writes.

It wouldn’t be Zootopia-themed without all the favorite film characters. Guests will have the opportunity to interact and see characters like Fru Fru, Mr. Big, Flash the sloth, Yax the yak, and Duke Weaselton the weasel. This will be another way to see Judy and Nick after you’ve ridden Zootopia: Hot Pursuit attraction, but snapping some selfies with them at Zootopia Recruitment Station.
