Calling all Disney fans! The biggest Disney fan event of the year is almost here! Destination D23 is presented by Lug for the official Disney fan club to celebrate 100 years of Disney. “Journey through every era of Disney as we venture back through the last century of storytelling and look forward to a limitless future for the company and its most dedicated fans,” D23 writes.
The event is planned to take place at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. Destination D23 begins on Friday, September 8 to Sunday, September 10. Fans attending can enjoy “beloved moments and memories with behind-the-scenes stories, and special guests and performances.” Additionally, it wouldn’t be a Disney celebration without sneak peeks on what’s to come, exclusive opportunities, and plenty of surprises!
While the event may be sold out, there is still a chance for Disney fans to get in on the fun. Disney has released the schedule for the three-day event, and one part will be available via live stream for those who couldn’t attend.

The exciting Disney fan event is near, and for fans like myself who cannot attend, a virtual option is a total win! “For one day only: Anyone who is unable to attend Destination D23 will be able to livestream all the magical announcements shared on Saturday, September 9, 2023,” D23 shared. In addition, the live stream will be shared on their YouTube or Facebook (@DisneyD23), or visit their website, D23.com/DestinationD23.
As shown in the schedule, it is a jam-packed weekend full of magic. Fans attending or streaming in can look forward to sessions like 100 Years of Classic Characters: Unforgettable Stories. Other exciting sessions are Disney Cruise Line: 25 Years of Innovative Design at Sea, 100 Years of Innovation: Magic in Every Medium, and EPCOT: Always in a State of Becoming.
Furthermore, those attending the event have opportunities to attend two exclusive events. Disney+ Hallowstream Costume Bash and 60 Years of Disney’s Audio-Animatronics® Technology Exhibit. Excitingly, shopping experiences at Mickey’s of Glendale, The Walt Disney Company Store, and Ink & Paint Marketplace are all open to attendees for pin trading, exclusive merchandise, and much more.
Regardless of whether you are attending or not, this will be an exciting weekend for all Disney fans. We can all hope for reveals of new things to come to The Walt Disney Company.
