10 Sensational Experiences You Must Have In Epcot

Of the four Walt Disney World theme parks, Epcot is by far the most unique in that it combines two completely different concepts to form one unified whole. Future World focuses on the balance between technology and nature and World Showcase focuses on the culture and beauty of eleven different countries. With so many different experiences to be had in each half of the park, guests can find themselves struggling to decide what things they simply must experience and what things they can skip over. Here are ten sensational experiences that guests simply must do on a day in Epcot.

10. Spaceship Earth

This is the park’s flagship attraction and it takes guests on a journey about communication and how advances in it have been made from the beginning of time to present day. Featuring tons of audio-animatronics and scenes depicting amazing moments of history like the Renaissance and man landing on the moon, Spaceship Earth is a classic Disney experience that all guests must experience on a day in Epcot.

9. Soarin’

This is by far one of the most popular attractions in Epcot and it takes guests high into the sky on a hang gliding experience over beautiful landscapes. Guests are treated to sweeping views of the Matterhorn, the Great Wall of China, Iguazu Falls, and Epcot. The sensational experience leaves guests wanting to return to the experience time and time again.

8. Test Track Presented By Chevrolet

This thrilling experience brings guests into the design world of automobiles and offers them the chance to create their very own “SIM” car. Guests can then see how their design holds up on the course in Efficiency, Responsiveness, Capability, and Power. The most sensational moment of the attraction is the outdoor joy ride around a massive loop that offers wonderful views of Spaceship Earth and Future World.

7. Mission: SPACE

This galactic adventure takes guests into the International Space Training Center (ISTC) where they find themselves training for a mission to space. Soon strapped into their spacecraft, guests find themselves rocketing into space and encountering some thrilling adventures and twists along the way. Since this sensational experience can be intense, Disney offers up two different ride options allowing for every guest to enjoy the adventure. The Orange Team offers up the full experience and high intensity (mission to Mars) whereas the Green Team offers a tamer simulated version of the attraction (orbits Earth).

6. Living with the Land

This tranquil attraction takes guests on a boat tide through various environments and on a tour through the massive greenhouses of the pavilion where food is grown for restaurants throughout Walt Disney World. Guests love observing all of the amazing plants and learning about new and exciting technology helping to efficiently and effectively grow food.

5. The Seas with Nemo and Friends

This attraction takes guests on a retelling of the classic Pixar film Finding Nemo complete with favorite characters like Nemo, Marlin, and Dory. Guests get to ride the Eastern Australian Current with Crush and ultimately are treated to the original song “Big Blue World” while Nemo and friends swim amongst the live fish in the aquarium behind them.

4. Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros

This fun attraction can be found in the rear of the Mexico Pavilion and takes guests on a journey across the country with Panchito and Jose as they search for Donald. Finally locating him in time for a nighttime concert in Mexico City, guests are treated to a sensational finale with a show by the Three Caballeros.

3. Frozen Ever After

Do your best to snag a FastPass for Frozen Ever After 60 days in advance for Disney Resort guests or 30 days in advance for non-resort guests. This attraction is located in the Norway Pavilion and boasts extremely long wait times in the stand-by line. Save the time… FastPass this one! Frozen Ever After is a family-friendly boat ride that took the place of the former Maelstrom and follows a similar track, winding through multiple experiences up and down the river. It’s a fun attraction with beautiful surroundings, top notch animatronics, and of course… the forever popular Frozen characters and songs to sing along with!

2. The American Adventure

This patriotic show can be found in the main building of the America Pavilion and is hosted by Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain. Featuring dozens of audio animatronics and massive sets, this show tells the dramatic story of the American people from the Revolutionary War to present day. The sensational finale features the moving song “Golden Dream” as the dawn rises on a new day in America.

1. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth

Note: Illuminations’ last show will be September 30, 2019. “Epcot Forever”, a temporary fireworks spectacular, will begin on October 1.

Each night, World Showcase Lagoon comes alive with this spectacular nighttime showing. Guests symbolically gather around the fire to watch the story of how Earth’s people are a united one. Featuring a beautiful score, fireworks, pyrotechnics, lasers, and dancing water, this is a sensational show and the perfect way to end a day in Epcot.
