1. Rope Drop

Disney insiders know that the key to making the most out of each day in Walt Disney World is by getting up early and exploring. Guests who arrive for rope drop at the theme parks each morning end up waiting at designated locations until they are fully let into the park. While waiting, there is typically entertainment and things to distract them from their wait, and once the gates are open they are some of the first guests inside where they can enjoy low wait times and few crowds.

2. Use PhotoPass

Disney insiders also love to take advantage of Disney’s PhotoPass. Scattered throughout all of Walt Disney World are special photographers who are waiting to take pictures of guests in magical places with magical effects. PhotoPass photographers ensure that all members of each group are featured in photos and they also capture wonderful memories that guests can cherish always.

3. Book the Right FastPasses

One of the most important things to utilize in Walt Disney World are FastPasses which act as reservations for specific attractions and entertainment. Guests who book a FastPass choose a time for their experience and report there at their designated time to enjoy it with little to no wait time. FastPasses can save a ton of time that can then be used to explore other parts of the parks and guests are smart to use them on popular attractions which tend to have the longest lines.

They can be booked up to one hundred and eighty days in advance and ensure that guests are able to dine in the locations they want without being turned away because everything is booked.

5. Conquer the Mountains

Disney insiders love to conquer the thrilling mountain range found in the Magic Kingdom on each trip. Guests can start in Frontierland and ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad where they can whip through the town of Tumbleweed on the wildest ride in the wilderness. Also in Frontierland is Splash Mountain which brings guests on a soaking journey with Br’er Rabbit who is in search of more adventure. New Fantasyland is home to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which invites guests into the mines where the dwarfs work while moving in swaying mine carts. The final mountain in the Magic Kingdom is Space Mountain in Tomorrowland which blasts guests off for a high speed adventure in the darkness of space.

One of the most classic experiences that all guests can enjoy in Walt Disney World is a trip on the monorail. The highway in the sky features two lines, one which loops Seven Seas Lagoon and another which runs from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Epcot. Guests can kick back and enjoy unique views of Disney Parks and Disney Resorts while enjoying the monorail.

10. Meet Mickey

No visit to Walt Disney World is complete without meeting Mickey himself. One of the best places to meet Mickey is the Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom where he can be found decked out in his magician’s costume.

About Caitlin Kane

Caitlin Kane first started visiting Walt Disney World when she was two years old, and despite spending most of that trip quarantined with the chicken pox she managed to fall in love with the place. Visiting WDW every year since, she especially loves learning all about the history and small details of the parks and eating/drinking her way through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival each fall. When she's not in Disney, Caitlin lives in New York and spends her time counting down the days to her next trip.
