8. Location

Gaston’s Tavern is located right within the New Fantastyland area of the Magic Kingdom.  The entire area is well themed after Beauty and the Beast and even has a fantastic Beauty and the Beast gift shop located close by.  It is along the main path making it an easy place to stop and enjoy while in that area of the park. You can’t miss it once you see the huge Gaston fountain right in front of it, too!

7. Perfect Theming and Details

It is unbelievable how many details Disney put into this location.  The tavern is completely themed like the tavern from Beauty and the Beast.  You will definitely want to check out all of the art on the walls and all of the details.  Every detail was perfected, even down the tables that you find inside.  It is definitely a place that you don’t want to pass by while you are there.

6. Sitting In Gaston’s Chair

If you remember Gaston’s huge chair from the movie, you will be able to see it in person at Gaston’s Tavern.  You can take pictures and selfies while sitting in his chair.  Try to make your best Gaston poses and faces for your photos.  It is so much fun and great nod to the movie and the overall theme of the location.

5. Amazing Cinnamon Rolls

These cinnamon rolls are beyond amazing.  They are huge and served warm with tons of delicious, sweet glaze.  These are among the most popular cinnamon rolls at Walt Disney World, so you definitely have to make sure to give these a try during your vacation.  You won’t want to miss it.

4. Easy In And Out

Since this is a quick service location, it is extremely easy to get in and out of.  You can order your treats, take a load off to enjoy them and then get right back out and enjoy your day.  You don’t have to commit to a long stop or make a reservation.  It can easily fit within your schedule whenever you would like to stop.

3. Meet Gaston For Yourself

Gaston frequently does meet and greets right outside of the tavern, so if you are there visiting you may be able to get a meet and greet with him.  He is one of the more unique meet and greets, given his personality and how he interacts with guests.  You should definitely try to meet him if you can.

2. Non-Sweet Snacks, Too

The location isn’t just filled with sweet treats and beverages.  If you are looking for something with a little more protein and savory flavors, then you are definitely in luck. There is the ham and cheese stuffed pretzel, fruit and cheese picnic platter, mixed vegetable cup and dip, Mini Babybel snack cheese and hummus and chips.  There really is something for everyone and different tastes.

1. LeFou’s Brew (In A Souvenir Stein)

LeFou’s Brew is the signature beverage at the location.  It is made with frozen apple juice, a hint of toasted marshmallow and then topped with a passion fruit and mango foam.  Gaston’s Tavern is the only location that you can find this amazing treat, so you definitely have to give it a try.  You can also opt to get it served in a souvenir stein (which you get to keep) to perfectly fit the theme of the tavern.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
