There’s so much on offer when it comes to Disney merchandise, that it can often be hard to limit your spending when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Whether you choose to shop at Disney Springs, or prefer to peruse the merchandise locations in the Disney Parks, you’re sure to find plenty of things to buy. That being said, sometimes you’re on the look out for something extra special, that catches your eye and yells out to you ‘buy me!’
The Christmas season is the perfect time of year to look out for that special something. With plenty of limited edition Disney merchandise released at this time of year, visiting Walt Disney World in the run up to Christmas, is the ideal time to treat yourself to something that will help you to remember your vacation by.
Let’s take a look at the Disney souvenirs that we always make sure to return home with, when visiting during the most wonderful time of the year.
Disney Resort Pins
Each year, a new Christmas collection of Disney Pins are released that are dated and unique to each of the Disney Resort hotels. This year’s collection is inspired by a Christmas ornament, topped with a bow. In the center of the bow, you’ll find a Disney Resort logo. Each pin spins to reveal two designs: one side has an ornament inspired pattern; and the other features a Disney Hero and opposing Disney Villain.
All pins in the collection are limited edition. Available for $19.99, be sure to stop by the merchandise location at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel to pick up the pin specific to your Resort. Pins may also be available at the Disney Pin Traders in the Marketplace at Disney Springs.
Gingerbread Display Pins
There are several gingerbread displays that are featuring around the Walt Disney World Resort during this festive season. You’ll find them in the following locations:
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa – gingerbread house
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort – gingerbread carousel
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – gingerbread giraffe and zebra
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn – gingebread display of the BoardWalk Deli
- The American Adventure in EPCOT World Showcase – gingerbread monuments
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort – gingerbread castle
Similar to the Disney Resort Christmas Pin collection, there is also an annual Disney Gingerbread Display pin collection. Part of a limited edition collection, this year’s pins are also inspired by an ornament, with a dangle element that details the location of the gingerbread display. These pins are a perfect souvenir if you’ve had the privilege of visiting the gingerbread displays, or have stayed in a Resort whilst the gingerbread display is on show. There are pins available in this collection, for $19.99 each:
- EPCOT
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Holiday Ornament
If you’re anything like us, you can’t visit the Walt Disney World Resort without adding another Holiday ornament to your collection. It seems even more fitting to purchase one whilst taking a Disney vacation during the Christmas season. Make sure to stop by Mickey’s Days of Christmas in Disney Springs or Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom and have your chosen ornament personalized. You’ll think of this vacation every time you see it hung on your Christmas tree.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Ornament
If you’re lucky enough to have secured tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, then be sure to pick up a piece of merchandise from the event. You don’t even have to spend a penny to do so. Guests can receive a complimentary and special edition 50th anniversary ornament from Tomorrowland Terrace or when exiting the Disney theme park.

Christmas Sippers and Popcorn Buckets
This year’s festive sippers and popcorn buckets are quite possibly the best yet. The Snow Globe Sipper is proving to be popular amongst Disney Guests, and is available in all of the Disney Parks.
If you’re a popcorn lover, then the Musical Holiday Tin Premium Popcorn Bucket should be a must-buy on your shopping list. We love how it is something that you can use when you are home; it’ll make the perfect biscuit tin. If you’re a Toy Story (1995) fan, then you won’t want to miss out on the Toy Story Blocks Premium Bucket. Both buckets are available at select locations in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Sweet Treats from the Gingerbread Displays
The gingerbread displays around the Walt Disney World Resort are certainly a reason to spend some time outside of a Disney theme park. The incredible detail and creativity that goes into creating such masterpieces is a must-see. But you also don’t want to miss out of purchasing a few treats either. You’ll find something for everyone; from gingerbread creations to chocolate treats, sugar cookies to marshmallows. Don’t be surprised if you spend a small fortune! The sweet treats always make for a great gift idea for someone back at home – maybe the cat sitter or dog walker!
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Merchandise
Whilst it’s still days away from the beginning of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, we expect that there will be unique merchandise available to purchase around World Showcase and in other EPCOT stores during November and December. Previously the EPCOT Festival merchandise has included items such as: apparel, including a Spirit Jersey or two; Christmas ornaments; mugs; and plenty more. Last year, Olaf and Sven from Frozen (2013) featured as the main characters to the merchandise collection. We can’t wait to see who will feature on this year’s collection.
Gingerbread Ornaments
This year, there are several limited-edition ornaments that are inspired by gingerbread houses. Each ornament is decorated with pastel colors and features a favorite Disney character. Be sure to stop by the gingerbread displays at select Disney Resort hotels, to pick up yours. The ornaments are currently available at the following Disney Resorts:
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
