Disney World Holds Casting Calls for Jollywood Nights

As previously mentioned on DisneyTips, Walt Disney World Resort will host a new holiday event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Jollywood Nights

The Disney Park after-hour event will be titled Jollywood Nights. It will operate on select nights throughout November and December. Park Guests can enjoy special shows, exclusive entry to popular attractions such as the Tower of Terror, and other unique seasonal surprises.

Among the many festivities, it will feature a special Christmas-themed stage show at the Theatre of the Stars. The celebration will star the famous muppets Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, along with Princess Tiana, Belle, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse.

The classic Walt Disney World Resort characters will be joined by a cast of singers, dancers, and live musicians.

Casting Calls for Characters

Disney has also opened a casting call for the show, including the two Disney princesses. They are currently searching for a Tiana who is a “charismatic and strong mezzo soprano with a pop belt to an E.” This Cast Member will also need to riff in a style similar to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas.

Meanwhile, Disney seeks someone to portray Belle during the Jollywood Nights show. This Cast Member character will sing “As Long as There’s Christmas” in the same key as the movie score from Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas (1997).

In addition, Disney World is also looking for a male vocalist with a style similar to Brian Setzer and a female vocalist with a singing style similar to Ella Fitzgerald.

Guests can now purchase a ticket for Jollywood Nights via Disney World’s website. Prices start at $159 per person (children and adults are the same price). On other nights the event tickets are $169 or $179, depending on the day.
