A Disney’s Favorite is Celebrating Their Anniversary

When you think of your favorite Disney characters, you can choose from so many. These lovable characters have touched our hearts over the years, and we love being able to celebrate them.

A favorite movie to many is the Disney classic Peter Pan (1953), and Tinkerbell made her appearance. You can see her light up the screen with her magic wand, and the sound effects are so classic you know she’s about to appear. We are celebrating the anniversary on February 5.

If you want to see Tinkerbell in person, there are plenty of opportunities at Walt Disney World. Not only does she make her appearance in parades, but you can also see her fly across the sky in the new nighttime spectacular Disney Enchantment.

It’s a good thing she does not have a fear of heights because it is 189 feet from the ground when she flies across the sky. Her flight takes 30 seconds, and she goes from 20 to 35 miles per hour. She’s used to flying, though, so this is most likely second nature for her now.

She is so popular that she was also one of the characters given a Fab 50 Character Collection Sculpture. Many of these statues are easy to find but hers is a little more hidden. She can be found between Cinderella Castle and Liberty Square. Make sure to look up in the tree.

Although she can be a little bit sassy at times, we loved this iconic character, and we are very happy to celebrate her. She looks great for her age too if you ask me.
