Space 220 Restaurant

First on the list is Space 220 Restaurant in EPCOT. We waited years for this highly anticipated restaurant to open, and it was well worth that wait.

Space 220 Restaraunt is one of the hardest dining reservations to get, so if you want to dine here during your vacation, make an advanced dining reservation right at the 60 day mark.

Space 220 is truly an out of this world immersive experience. It takes Guests to an elevator where they travel “220 miles” high above EPCOT to the Centauri Space Station.

Both the lunch and dinner menus are prix fixe, with lunch offering two courses and dinner providing three courses instead.

The lounge area recently started to take reservations, giving Guests another way to reserve this amazing option in EPCOT.

Not only is the atmosphere in Space 220 one of a kind, the food has been raved about as many Guests love everything from the fun drinks to the outstanding entrees.

Space 220 is one restaurant you should add to your 2022 dining list.

Steakhouse 71

Another brand-new dining location that should be on your 2022 list is Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Steakhouse 71 replaced The Wave, and it has been an upgrade all around.

The name Steakhouse 71 refers to the year that Disney’s Contemporary Resort first opened, and the restaurant has a style that brings the 1970s to life in a new, contemporary, and comfortable way.

This restaurant is extremely popular, so if this is a must-do dining experience, make your reservation at the 60 day mark.

The Steakhouse 71 Lounge, however is first come, first served, and is a fantastic option for enjoying cocktails and the delicious Steakhouse Burger.

Some of the dishes are inspired by Walt Disney’s favorites, such as the Prime Rib Sandwich, French Onion Soup, and the Filet Mignon.

Steakhouse 71 is an excellent option for having a meal outside of Magic Kingdom. Consider adding Steakhouse 71 to your dining plans for 2022.

California Grill

Also found in Disney’s Contemporary Resort is California Grill, which has a new 50th Anniversary menu that is a great way to be part of the World’s Most Magical Celebration.

Now offering a three course prix fixe meal, this is a limited time experience, making it one that could be a must do in 2022.

The three courses included a choice of appetizers, an entree that could include filet, pork tenderloin, or grouper, and finally wrap up with Five Magical Bites 50 Years in the Making for dessert.  That consists of five different desserts created by the California Grill chefs throughout the years.

As part of the dining experience, Guests also can watch Disney Enchantment from the special viewing area.

If you are looking for a special way to celebrate during your 2022 vacation, the special 50th Anniversary Celebration menu at California Grill might be an excellent option.

Le Crêperie de Paris

A new dining location in EPCOT is Le Creperie de Paris, found in the France Pavilion in World Showcase.

This new restaurant offers Guests the option between table service or quick service, depending on which they prefer.

This location, as you can imagine, is all about crepes, with both sweet and savory options.

If you want a quick snack, try the walk-up window called Crepes A Emporter.  Be aware that different crepes are found on the menu for each location, so check to see where your favorite is available.

We like having even more dining options throughout World Showcase in EPCOT and are excited about this unique eatery.

Topolino’s Terrace

Topolino’s Terrace in Disney’s Riviera Resort continues to be a must do dining experience as we start 2022.

Located at the top of Disney’s Riviera Resort, the character breakfast offered here is one of the best in Walt Disney World.

Guests can see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy in their artistic outfits as they dance and move around the dining room.

Not only is it wonderful to see these characters, but the food is delicious as well. Guests start with amazing pastries and then can order from a variety of entrees.

Not looking for a character meal? For dinner, Topolino’s transforms into a signature dining location, and it is fantastic as well. Guests can enjoy an amazing meal while taking in beautiful views of the Walt Disney World Resort.

Topolino’s Terrace continues to be a top rated location with outstanding food and a great atmosphere. You will want to add it to your 2022 dining options.

Nomad Lounge (Photo: Disney)

Nomad Lounge

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we suggest that you add Nomad Lounge to your 2022 dining choices.

Nomad Lounge is one of the most popular lounges in Walt Disney World, and for good reason. Not only does it have an amazing location within Animal Kingdom, but the drinks and food are fantastic as well.

Guests can enjoy unique cocktails, incredible appetizers, and a place to relax and hang out during the busy parts of the day.

Space in Nomad Lounge can fill up quickly, so join the wait list as soon as you can.

When looking at dining in 2022, these are some of our top restaurants at Walt Disney World. We hope our favorites can help determine which dining locations you want to visit during your 2022 Walt Disney World vacation.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
