One of the best parts of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is the wide array of fantastic food available throughout the parks. Disney World goes beyond the usual theme park fare, offering everything from quick grab-and-go snacks to delicious quick-service meals and unforgettable character dining experiences.

Each of Disney’s four theme parks—EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom—has its own standout food offerings. However, not every dish is a hit, and each park has its share of misses as well.

These Magic Kingdom snacks are our top picks for the most skippable in the park.

Plant-Based Cheese Pizza

For those following a vegan diet, Magic Kingdom has some stellar offerings, but the plant-based cheese pizza at Pinocchio Village Haus isn’t one of them. The crust has been widely criticized for its subpar texture, while the plant-based cheese often fails to melt properly, leaving a gloppy and unappealing result.

With other great plant-based options like the vegetable rice bowl at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café or the Impossible Meatloaf at The Diamond Horseshoe, there’s little reason to settle for this disappointing pizza.

Sleepy Hollow Offerings

Sleepy Hollow was once a go-to spot for freshly made Belgian waffles topped with Nutella, berries, or even spicy chicken. Unfortunately, these beloved menu items were replaced with the more generic Mickey waffles. While Mickey waffles are a nostalgic Disney favorite, they simply don’t match the charm and flavor complexity of the original Belgian waffles.

The change has left many guests yearning for the days when Sleepy Hollow was a hidden gem.

Turkey Leg

I know what you’re probably thinking: “What do you mean? The turkey leg is iconic!” And you’re absolutely right—it’s one of the most famous snacks at Walt Disney World Resort. But just because it’s iconic doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a must-try.

There are a few reasons why the turkey leg might not be the best choice. While its size might initially seem like a great value, it can actually be overwhelming for some people. Plus, it’s incredibly messy. You’ll need plenty of napkins to wipe off the oil and juices, and you might even want to wash your hands once you’re done.

Another common complaint from guests is that turkey legs often have a lot of sinew. Between the small bones and tough, stringy pieces, there’s often more mess than you might expect, leaving you to pick through the remains.

Churros

Churros are a Disney classic, but Magic Kingdom’s version falls short compared to the high standards set by Disneyland Resort. At Disneyland, guests can enjoy seasonal and specialty churros throughout the year, but Magic Kingdom’s offerings remain uninspired.

With so many unique sweet treats available, such as customizable popcorn at Kernel Kitchen or confections at the Main Street Confectionery, it’s easy to see why churros might not make the cut.

Magic Kingdom has no shortage of culinary delights to explore. From refreshing Tropical Serenade floats to savory cheeseburger spring rolls, the park offers plenty of options that are worth your time and appetite. While the snacks listed above might disappoint, they shouldn’t deter you from seeking out the park’s standout bites.
