D23 Tickets Sell Out in Under 10 MINUTES

If you were wanting to snag a ticket for the upcoming D23 Disney fan event, you definitely need to keep your computer fingers ready for tomorrow’s ticket release.
Tickets for this year’s eagerly-awaited event were released during a pre-sale today, and these tickets are now sold out!
D23 is a huge and pretty magical three-day convention held in Anaheim, California, conveniently located right next to Disneyland Resort, full of incredible surprises, entertaining panels, impressive cosplays, and celebrity Guests.

The major pulls for fans of this Disney event are the breaking announcements, including movie news, casting updates, and theme park reveals.

The exciting event is usually held every other year but did not occur in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022 the event will be taking place September 9 through 11, and will likely feature many major announcements related to Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and Disney’s movie portfolio. 

D23 today released a special pre-sale amount of tickets for members of D23 who were also Visa cardholders. Tickets vary in price depending on if you want a one-day ticket or a multi-day ticket, and there are discounts if you are a D23 Gold Member.

These pre-sale tickets sold out in under 10 minutes, with Disney Tips managing to grab ours shortly before the tickets disappeared from the site. When we joined the virtual queue at 10 a.m. PT, we were number 9595 in line!

The official Twitter page of Disney D23 shared the following update on the sold-out tickets for the event:

We’ve reached our capacity for select #D23Expo Visa Presale tickets. Please check back tomorrow when all tickets go on sale at 12pm PT for all guests. Visit d23expo.com for more information.

Don’t worry though, because D23 only released a limited number of tickets today. All other tickets will be released tomorrow at 12 p.m. PT on (January 20).

Today, D23 announced exciting new details about D23 Expo 2022 presented by Visa®. “The Ultimate Disney Fan Event” is back, returning to the Anaheim Convention Center from September 9th through the 11th, to celebrate the magic and excitement of Disney and kick off Disney100, the centennial celebration of The Walt Disney Company. We’re celebrating all the wonderful worlds of Disney—including Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars—united under one roof to showcase what’s new and what’s on the horizon from Disney theme parks, streaming, television, music, products, and films.

D23 Expo 2022 will feature more than 50 shows, presentations, and panels, including the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, which honors the talented individuals who have made significant contributions to the Disney legacy, as well as an all-new exhibit curated by the Walt Disney Archives highlighting the 100th anniversary of Disney.

D23 Gold Members will be able to purchase specially priced discounted tickets, both single-day ($89) and three-day ($229). Regularly priced single-day tickets are $99 for a one-day adult admission and $79 for children, and money-saving three-day tickets are also available. Discounted hotel and Disneyland Resort park tickets are available to all D23 Expo ticket purchasers.

This year, a limited number of Hall D23 Preferred Seating tickets (which include admission for all three days and a reserved seating section for all Hall D23 presentations) will be available exclusively to D23 Gold Members.
