Disney Announces Sign Up Dates for New Special Events!

Who doesn’t love attending exclusive Disney Special Events? It’s a very simple answer: everyone!

From exclusive menus and backstage glimpses to rare Disney characters and shorter wait times, Disney’s Special Events provide Guests with unique experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

We’ve recently seen the return of Disney H20 Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon water park, Disney After Hours Boo Bash, and Disney Very Merriest After Hours, and now, there’s another Guest-favorite returning to Walt Disney World.

We have some exciting news for DVC Members. Disney has now released dates for the popular Disney Vacation Club Member perk, Moonlight Magic.

The Guest-favorite event will take place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. And the best part? It’s FREE for DVC members!

In case you haven’t heard, Moonlight Magic is a Disney Vacation Club Membership Magic Extra benefit that has just recently returned after a two-year hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the DVC Website, eligible DVC members can:

“Experience a night full of excitement at these complimentary events offering exclusive after-hours access. Enjoy select new and classic attractions with shorter than usual wait times, Character sightings, reimagined entertainment and delectable delights, all during The World’s Most Magical Celebration!” 

Disney, you had us a “shorter than usual wait times” and “delectable delights”.

The first Moonlight Magic event since the world has started getting back to normal recently took place at EPCOT back on March 17 and March 31, 2022.

The Moonlight Magic events at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be held on May 24, June 16, and July 14, 2022. DVC Members with a Disney Resort Hotel reservation on the event date can register online at the Disney Vacation Club website starting on April 20, 2022.

In order to qualify for the early registration date, Guests must have made their Resort reservations before April 17, 2022.

All other DVC Members can register online starting May 10, 2022, provided there is still open availability. The registration is expected to begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard time on both dates. DVC members will be limited to one Moonlight Magic event for each Park in 2022 and the party size will be limited to 4 Guests or the total capacity of their Disney Resort Hotel room, whichever is more.

Disney has not yet released the registration information for the Moonlight Magic event taking place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 26, August 31 and September 28, 2022. We are still also anxiously awaiting dates for a Moonlight Magic Event return to the Magic Kingdom Park.
