If you’re planning your magical getaway to Walt Disney World Resort in 2023, note that Disney has revealed its refurbishment timeframe for the beloved Disney Skyliner transportation.
The Disney Skyliner has made a massive impact on Disney transportation since it first opened three years ago in 2019. Adding to the transportation fleet of buses, boats, ferries, Monorails, and walking paths, the Disney Skyliner was a welcomed addition.

There are four Walt Disney World Resort Hotels that have stations to take Guests to and from EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
The massive gondola-style system is like an attraction all in itself. And while yes, it has been met with some hiccups, overall, the experience is an exceptional theme parks transportation option (as long as Florida thunderstorms stay away!).

But, if visiting Walt Disney World as a Park Guest or a Disney Resort Guest staying at one of the Skyliner Resort hotels mentioned above, we have confirmed with a Disney Cast Member that the Disney Skyliner is scheduled for routine maintenance from January 22 to January 29, 2023.
If staying at Pop Century, Art of Animation, Riviera Resort, or Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney will offer bus transportation to and from these Resorts and EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the temporary closure – much like they would provide Disney Park transportation for Skyliner Guests during a storm when the Skyliner is closed.

It seems like this mid to late January timeframe is becoming a regular refurbishment time for the Disney Skyliner, which is something to note when making Walt Disney World vacation plans. We’ll be sure to share further details about the Disney Skyliner 2023 refurbishment from January 22 through January 29 as we learn more.
