If you are an Annual Passholder at the Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll want to know this: Disney will be offering an exclusive viewing of Fantasmic! tonight, only for Guests with an Annual Pass!
Fantasmic! has always been beloved amongst Disney fans. The show features Mickey Mouse using the powers of imagination to defeat a slew of malicious Disney villains who have banded together to turn his dreams into a “nightmare fantastic.” Fantasmic! debuted in 1992 at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, and a second edition opened in 1998 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando.

Be there as the forces of good and evil battle it out in Mickey’s dream during this extravagant open-air nighttime musical. Featuring stunning effects, thrilling stunts, dazzling pyrotechnics and rousing music, this larger-than-life show is painted on a grand canvas of dancing water and light. Overflowing with silly and suspenseful surprises, it will leave your entire family smiling from ear-to-ear!
Even so, Fantasmic! closed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, and did not reopen along with the rest of the Disney Parks. Miraculously, it returned to extreme fanfare in a grand reopening earlier this November, complete with all new scenes and special effects!

The show’s triumphant return has been so popular that many are hard-pressed to get a seat! In fact, Walt Disney World released a statement earlier today revealing that they would offer a second showing of Fantasmic! this evening, likely due to its extreme popularity. However, this 9:30 p.m. viewing of Fantasmic! would only be accessible if you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder.

As Disney notes above, each Annual Passholder must pick up a wristband from a to receive entry to Fantasmic! upon arriving at the gates to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or the wristband distribution location at Pixar Avenue. Simply present both a valid Annual Pass and government-issued photo ID at any of the Fantasmic! Viewing Check-ins.
Guests can begin to enter the show building at 9:00 p.m. with a wristband. Unfortunately, Park reservations for Annual Passholders are already closed for November 12, so Guests wishing to gain entry to the 9:30 p.m. Fantasmic! must already have reservations for today, or the ability to Park Hop to Disney’s Hollywood Studios from another .

If you couldn’t gain access to the exclusive show, Disney will still offer the first Fantasmic! performance at 8:00 p.m. for all Guests. Sadly, Disney has blacked out entry for carriers of the Pixie Dust Annual Pass tier on November 12, but who knows? If all goes well, an exclusive AP viewing of Fantasmic! could become a regular occurrence!
