If You’re Seeing Fantasmic! Soon, Be Prepared to Wait In Standby Lines

After nearly three years of waiting for the nighttime spectacular to return, Fantasmic! is back at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

By now, you’ve probably heard that Fantasmic! is returning to Walt Disney World with an all-new sequence, making it bigger and better than ever before.

Now that Fantasmic! is finally here, Guests are noticing another change to the iconic show. But this one is much less pleasant: no Lightning Lane entrances are offered for the nighttime show.

Before the nighttime spectacular closed along with Walt Disney World during the initial months of the pandemic, Fantasmic! was available for FastPass. That being said, it makes sense that Guests were expecting the nighttime show to return with the modern equivalent of the FastPass system in place.

Not only have Guests used the FastPass system with Fantasmic! in the past, but the attraction already has the necessary infrastructure in place, so imagine Guests’ surprise when they found out that Fantasmic! is available only through dining packages and standby lines.

Although the viewing area is built to handle nearly 7,000 Guests, we have no doubt that finding a good seat during the nighttime spectacular’s first showings after its hiatus will be nearly impossible unless Guests are willing to arrive incredibly early.

Guests can currently arrive at the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater and find seats up to 90 minutes before the show, but even with 90 minutes, it may quickly become hectic.
