Disney’s newest themed beverage container, the Reindeer Parade Sipper, references a Holiday blast from the past at the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.
Have you seen the latest in a line of Disney Parks’ themed sippers and popcorn buckets? Fans will remember the frenzy over the Figment Popcorn Bucket last January, but it’s far from the only high collectible offering from a Disney Park or Resort.

The holidays are here at the Disney Parks, and it seems Santa’s brought a host of fabulously festive new merchandise for Guests to enjoy this Christmas. Holiday offers range from the musical new popcorn bucket and a delightful Snow Globe Sipper. But the Mickey Mouse Snow Globe Sipper isn’t the only friendly face available for Guests during the Yuletide.
The Disney Parks TikTok posted a video that shows the sipper up close. The entire container represents the Reindeer’s head with its tongue sticking out comically. You can watch it below:

In the video, the Reindeer Parade Sipper shows up at different points of view before being held up to the camera to get a good look at its cute face design. Then the Reindeer’s wagging tongue promptly “licks” the screen in a silly kiss!
If you’re wondering why it has a stuck-out tongue at all, you’re not alone! Of course, Disney’s Reindeer Parade Sipper is an adorable reference to the eight reindeer who pull Santa Claus’ sleigh. But did you know it’s also a nod to this former Disneyland entertainment tradition?

The answer comes in a tweet from user Sam Carter, formerly of Disneyland Creative Entertainment, who noticed that the Reindeer Parade Sipper draws inspiration from both the current iteration of the character performer in Disney’s A Christmas Fantasy Parade and retro versions from the midcentury theme park:

While the Sipper’s eyes seem closer to its modern type, the larger nose and cheeky-tongued grin are clearly harkening back to the vintage version of Disneyland’s Christmastime parade.
Currently, Disney’s Reindeer Parade Sipper is only available throughout Disneyland Park beginning today and while supplies last, though we could see it at the soon. Maybe for Mickey’s Very ?
The Disney website does not mention if they are available at Disney California Adventure Park as well.
