In the shower, driving to work, with children – Disney’s Encanto (2021) has gifted audiences with the earworm tune “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”, a song that is soaring up the Billboard and Spotify charts.

Many fans of the new Disney movie are questioning where they can find merchandise for the movie, especially with how strongly the music and story have connected with families across the world.

Disney Tips hunted Walt Disney World this weekend to find where Encanto merchandise is located at the Florida Resort, and we have our lowdown of the best place to go!

Back on November 24, 2021, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 60th feature film, Encanto (2021) was released, with critics and audiences raving about the movie’s celebration of the culture, diversity, music and people of Colombia.

The Disney animation follows the story of Mirabel, a Colombian teenager who is the only member of her family who does not have any magical powers.

The film features music by Hamilton creator Lin Manuel Miranda and the voices of Stephanie Beatriz, John Leguizamo, and Wilmer Valderrama.

The witty earworm “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has exploded on social media, while the soundtrack itself has skyrocketed on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The song about Bruno, credited to Carolina Gaitan, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, Stephanie Beatriz, and the Encanto Cast, has become the biggest musical hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart from a Disney animation movie since 1995.

The Lin-Manuel Miranda tune reached its new peak position of number 4 on this week’s chart thanks to 29 million streams and 8,000 downloads sold. Those numbers helped it surpass Idina Menzel’s rendition of “Let It Go” from Frozen (2013) which reached number 5 in April 2014.

Fans of the hit movie, now streaming on Disney+, have been voicing concerns that there is not enough merchandise celebrating Encanto.

 

 

Walt Disney World is currently suffering some supply chain issues, but Disney Tips did find one store at Walt Disney World housing an array of Encanto items!

Island Mercantile, in Discovery Island at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, housed a whole wall of Encanto merchandise.

From dresses, jackets, and cups, to stuffed figures of Mirabel and her cousin Antonio, this store had more Encanto merchandise than any other store we visited at Walt Disney World – even the Emporium in Magic Kingdom.
