As we head into a new month, there is much magic coming to Walt Disney World. If you are headed down on a Walt Disney World vacation in November, you will want to make sure you are aware of these events throughout the four Theme Parks!
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival
It probably seems like this festival has been going on forever in EPCOT as it started this summer, but the outstanding food and drink options will continue until November 20th. Make sure to take time to explore some of the booths throughout World Showcase for unique options from around the world.
RunDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend
We are thrilled that runDisney events are coming back after a long pause. November 4th through 7th runners from all over will be coming to Walt Disney World to run in the Wine and Dine races. These include a 5K on the 5th, 10K on the 6th, and the half marathon on the 7th. Even if you aren’t a runner, take time to cheer on those who are running or congratulate them on their accomplishment when you see them in a Theme Park. We are excited for runDisney events to be returning to Walt Disney World this month and wish all the runners the best of luck on their magical journeys.
Disney Very Merriest After Hours
Coming to Magic Kingdom starting on November 8th and running on select nights through December 21st is the new holiday event Disney Very Merriest After Hours. This is a special ticketed event that allows Guests to celebrate the holidays from 9 to 1 am in Magic Kingdom. Guests attending will be able to see fun, holiday entertainment that is unique to the event. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, as well as a new stage show called Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories are all going to be a part of this special event. Guests will also be able to enjoy holiday treats, see unique characters around the Park, and enjoy the magic of snow falling on Main Street, USA. We are beyond excited for the holiday celebrations to be coming back to Magic Kingdom this year and are thrilled to have a parade be a part of the event. If you are headed down in November, look into a ticket for this magical event.
Festival of the Holidays
Starting on November 26th and running through December 30th EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will be taking place throughout EPCOT. The Holiday Kitchens are back and even though menus haven’t been released yet, we have been told which booths will be returning. A new booth called Chestnuts and Good Cheer will be a new Holiday Kitchen we are excited to experience. It isn’t just the food booths that are returning. Make sure you check out the Cookie Stroll that will have you enjoying five different cookies around World Showcase before you get an additional one for a prize. We look forward to testing out all these cookies. Olaf is also returning to World Showcase this holiday season in his Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition. This scavenger hunt has kids and adults searching for our beloved snowman throughout World Showcase. It is fun to search throughout the countries to find where he is hiding. At $9.99, we feel like this is a fun activity for kids and there is even a prize in the end. EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is a fun way to get into the holiday spirit.
Candlelight Processional
We can’t even begin to explain how happy we are that the Candlelight Processional is coming back this holiday season. Located in the America Gardens Theatre, Guests are treated to the story of Christmas with wonderful narrators such as Jodi Benson and Pat Sajak, as well as an amazing orchestra and choir that creates moving music. Even though you can walk up and try to get a seat, we assume these shows will be extremely popular this year so we suggest looking into a Dining Package. This guarantees you a seat to the show and allows you to have a meal at one of EPCOT’s restaurants. Biergarten, Coral Reef, Garden Grill, and Rose & Crown are all participating in the Dining Packages. We can’t wait to see this beautiful performance bring magic to EPCOT once again this holiday season.
Enjoy All the Treats
With Halloween wrapping up, and Thanksgiving and Christmas coming to the parks this month, we look forward to seeing what holiday treats will be making their way into the Theme Parks this year. We hope that all things pumpkin, apple, and hot chocolate make a return this season!
We recently learned about some of the treats that will be sold this year. We can’t wait to try them!
Celebrate Thanksgiving
Walt Disney World is a great place to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends and family. If you are looking for traditional Thanksgiving meals, you can find a variety of options throughout the Disney Parks and Disney Resort including Disney Springs. Raglan Road will have their special Thanksgiving meal with classic turkey, roasted potatoes, carrots, and even stuffing. For smaller options, the Holiday Turkey Burger at D-Luxe Burger or Gobbler Poutine at The Daily Poutine are good choices. Remember Liberty Tree Tavern as well as Diamond Horseshoe serve classic Thanksgiving options year round on their menu and would be fantastic choices for a holiday meal.
These are just a few of the big events you won’t want to miss at Disney if you are planning on heading down in November for a Walt Disney World vacation. Disney does a fantastic job bringing the holidays into the four Theme Parks and Disney Resorts!
