The new attraction is Rogers: The Musical, a stage show that retells the story of Steve Rogers (Captain America). It will play at the Hyperion Theater inside the Disney California Adventure Park. Currently, it is scheduled to perform twice daily, Tuesdays through Saturdays (most weeks) from June 30 through August 31.

Using the Disneyland Resort app, Guests can access specific viewing areas using the virtual queue system. Guests using this method will be called back to the show’s venue – The Hyperion Theater – approximately 30 to 45 minutes before showtime. Theme Park admission is required to access the virtual queue – and although the virtual line is not required to find seating, Disney has recommended it. If you don’t have a reserved spot in the virtual queue, Guests will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis until the venue reaches capacity.

The musical spectacle will have various songs featured in previous Marvel Cinematic Universe productions. The list includes “Save the City” from Hawkweye (2021), “Star Spangled Man” from Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), the “Captain America theme” from Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), “The Avengers” from The Avengers (2012), and the “Imperial March” from Star Wars: A New Hope (1977). It will also feature five all-new songs with music by Grammy-winning composer Christopher Lennertz and lyrics by Jordan Peterson, Christopher Lennertz, and Alex Karukas.

About Steven Wilk

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge should have never been built (at least not at Hollywood Studios). Every year for the past two decades, Steven has visited either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani or went on a Disney Cruise. He’s happy to share any and all knowledge of the Disney destinations (and he likes using parenthesis a lot…as well as ellipses…)
