7 Reasons We Still Love Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has gone through a lot of changes lately. They have decided to get rid of many things that people knew and loved. But look on the bright side, Walt Disney World has announced that they are going to open a Star Wars Land and a Toy Story Land, which are going to blow you away. With Disney behind them, they are going to be nothing less than the best. With that being said, Disney’s Hollywood Studios still has some amazing things that you will want to check out right now. Here are seven things that you’ll still love about Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

7) The Shows

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has some amazing shows that you won’t want to miss. One of the best is Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage. Everyone has seen the classic movie Beauty and the Beast, so at Disney’s Hollywood Studios you can see the story unfold live right in front of your eyes. If you have a Frozen fan in your family, they’ll have to see For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. For anyone who likes action filled shows there are two that they’ll need to check out. First Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! will put you right in the middle of the classic Indiana Jones movies. They’ll even be looking for some volunteers over the age of 18, so get there early. A little tip for these shows, very often the first show is the most crowded and the last one is the least crowded, so try to see these shows later in the day if at all possible.

6) Fantasmic

Fantasmic is nothing short of incredible. Walt Disney World does not hold back any of the magic here. You’ll see your favorite Disney characters, while Mickey takes you into his dream. It quickly turns into his nightmare. There are amazing water effects and fire that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. Make sure to get there early, because seats do fill up fast. There is some standing room, but kids will then have a very limited view of the show. If there are two shows that night, try and see the second if at all possible, it is much less crowded. Also, if you sit in the first few rows you will most likely get a bit wet, so keep that in mind.

5) Star Tours

Star Wars is a huge part of peoples lives. It doesn’t matter who you are or your age, people love Star Wars. Walt Disney World did not hold back when they made Star Tours – The Adventures Continue. While traveling through the galaxy, Star Tours is the best way to travel. With over 50 ride combinations, each time will give you a new adventure. With C-3PO as your pilot, what could go wrong?

4) Toy Story Midway Mania

Who didn’t watch Toy Story as a kid? For so many people Toy Story is a huge part of their childhood. Walt Disney World knows the importance of this movie series so they created Toy Story Midway Mania! Jump into the world of Toy Story as you compete against your friends and family. The competitive side of you will most definitely come out on this ride. Both Toy Story Midway Mania! and Star Tours will get you excited about the new lands.

2) Thrill Rides

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has two incredible thrill rides that the thrill seeker in the family will go crazy for. The first is Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Zero to 60 in 2.8 seconds is pretty intense. Aerosmith is running late and they need to get to their show, but they love their fans so what do they do? They’ll get you some backstage passes plus a very fast car to get you to the concert. This high speed in the dark coaster is great for those who like an extreme adventure. The second thrill ride that you’ll need to do is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. How does dropping 13 stories faster than the speed of gravity sound? Step into the abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel for a haunting adventure that is out of this world. With the coming expansion, even more thrills are promised.

1) Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular

It doesn’t matter if you are a Star Wars nerd or not – Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular is the perfect way to close out a night at Hollywood Studios! Watch as the Chinese Theater turns into a huge screen for a 14-minute show full of high-definition projection surrounded by lasers, fire, incredible music and sound effects, and of course – the sky lights up with awesome fireworks! It’s an unforgettable Hollywood Studios moment!
