The New Disney Merchandise That Is Selling Out Fast

When you’re a Disney Guest, you’re guaranteed to buy at least one piece of merchandise during a Disney vacation. This is especially true if you visit the Disney Parks during the Halloween or Christmas seasons or experience one of the EPCOT Festivals. From Christmas ornaments to Disney Pins, Spirit Jerseys, and other apparel, to accessories such as Loungefly bags and limited edition mouse ears, did you even take a Disney vacation if you didn’t buy a souvenir to take home with you?!

That being said, we’ve noticed that over the last year or so, the amount of Disney Parks exclusive merchandise available in and around the Walt Disney World Resort has been limited. It is not uncommon now to be able to buy a lot of Disney Parks merchandise online via the shopDisney website. Collections such as The Main Attraction Series, the Winnie the Pooh homewares collection, and the 50th Anniversary collection have been released online, as well as in the Disney Parks stores, making it easy for all Disney fans to purchase these items, despite not being able to visit the Disney theme parks.

As such, you have to go a little off the beaten track to find unique merchandise in and around Walt Disney World. In many cases, this means visiting the Walt Disney World Resort hotels on particular days of the week. From speaking with Cast Members in Lake Buena Vista, the shopping locations on Disney property tend to receive deliveries on Wednesdays and Saturdays each week. Typically, Wednesdays are when the largest delivery arrives each week, whilst Saturdays are when the smaller delivery arrives. Shopping at Disney Resorts on these days will help to guarantee you’ll be able to get your hands on the popular pieces of merchandise that have arrived in Walt Disney World over the last few weeks.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The iconic Walt Disney World Resort hotel that is located on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon and just one Disney Monorail stop away from Magic Kingdom Park has been the place to shop over the last few weeks. Disney hotels are known to stock Resort specific merchandise available to Guests for purchase. Such merchandise makes the perfect souvenir to mark a Guest’s stay in the Resort or one to remind Guests of their favorite Disney Resort hotel.

Disney Resort merchandise has been fairly standard across the Resort stores, including mugs, pins, golf polos, and Christmas ornaments, until recently. Now, the number of Resort pieces available to Guests has increased, especially for the Deluxe Disney Resorts. This is especially true for the signature Disney hotel that is the Grand Floridian.

Curiouser Clothiers

Located on the ground floor of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, just off of the main lobby, is Curiouser Clothiers. This store is the place to get Disney-inspired fashion pieces and premium souvenirs that are unique to the Disney Resort. Guests can enjoy a sophisticated shopping experience in this beautiful store.

Whilst there are two other shopping locations in the Grand Floridian where Guests can pick up Disney souvenirs, Curiouser Clothiers has been stocking those that have literally flown off the shelves on the same day of release. Here are the pieces to look out for when you are next visiting.

Grand Floridian Backpack

A Disney Loungefly backpack is an incredibly popular accessory for any theme park outfit right now. Whilst most of the Loungefly backpack designs are inspired by Disney movies, characters, or attractions, there have been two bags that are unique to Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Disney’s Riviera Resort inspired the first Resort Loungefly mini backpack and, more recently, a mini backpack specific to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

The white mini backpack features the Grand Floridian logo as an all-over design pattern in a gorgeous deep teal blue. The front pocket features a cushion-effect pattern, complete with gold Mickey embellishments. The straps and handle of the bag are in the same deep teal blue as the pattern on the main part of the Loungefly bag. This backpack really does compliment the stunning Deluxe Resort perfectly. Be sure to pick yours up for $75 when you see it.

Grand Floridian Mouse Ears

If you are a collector of Mickey ears, then you’ll also want to purchase the matching Loungefly Grand Floridian ears. White ears sit atop a blue headband and feature the all-over blue Grand Floridian print. Finished with a deep teal blue bow and gold Mickey head stud, the mouse ears paired with the matching backpack will be the perfect accessories for a visit to the iconic Disney hotel. The ears are available for $39.99.

Grand Floridian Tea Pot and Cup

Whilst the Garden View Tea Room is currently closed to Guests, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was the place to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea. It’s only fitting that Guests can now purchase their very own ‘tea for one’ set for $54.99. A small teapot sits on top of a teacup and saucer, featuring gold detailing and a lilac-blue pattern. The Grand Floridian logo is featured on the teapot, whilst the full title of the Disney Resort makes for the perfect detail on the teacup. We don’t expect this gorgeous set to stick around for long, so be sure to stop by soon if you wish to get your hands on one.
