During the Destination D23 event held in September, Josh D’Amaro revealed updates coming to Walt Disney World. All four Parks were receiving new experiences, including attractions, some being reimagined and some brand-new to the Parks. EPCOT, which opened in 1982, was a personal vision of Walt Disney. His intention was for the Park to be a livable town originally. While that didn’t pan out quite as he envisioned, the Park became known for its inspiration, innovation, and use of technology. EPCOT represents the past, the present, and the future with its everlasting yearning to grow and change.

Also announced at the largest fan event were all the changes coming to EPCOT. The Park expects a classic attraction, Test Track, to be reimagined while Imagineers work with Chevrolet. Figment’s meet and greet isn’t the only one to come to EPCOT. As the exploring Princess Moana inspires the newest attraction, so is the new experience that opened yesterday.
