If you vacation at Walt Disney World Resort regularly or are a Florida Annual Passholder, the Disney Parks rhythm probably seems second nature. This article is for frequent vacationers, Disney adults, and returning theme Park junkies that cannot get enough of the Disney experience. If you want to change it up on your next Disney vacation, here are some ideas that might help you shake things up in Disney Parks, the Disney dining room, or at your Disney Resort Hotel. We hope these ideas to make your next Disney vacation are helpful!

Prep for Your Vacation

Getting there really is half the fun. As far as Disney goes, I certainly believe this to be true. Take the time to research dining and attractions before the trip. For Disney nerds, knowing a bit of Disney history behind the design of a specific Resort or remembering how a ride has changed over the years while enjoying Park attractions is fun.

Go Big on Disney Dining

Whether a character meal, quick service stop at a Disney bakery in the Park, or a delicious moonlit cocktail one evening at Disney Springs, Disney dining adds extra magic to a vacation. Budgeting is vital for any family vacation at Disney World, so you have likely never eaten with total abandon on a Disney Resort vacation.

So, planning to splurge in the food department means you’ll have an incredibly magical and tasty vacation. Do what you’ve always dreamed of when it comes to Disney dining. Maybe you splurge on a table service dining experience each night of the trip. Maybe you finally taste a cocktail in each EPCOT country. Or perhaps you choose to splurge on a decadent Amorette’s dessert at Disney Springs. Indulging in Disney dining is a great way to get that extra zing out of your Disney experience.

Let Disney Do the Driving

One of the perks of a Disney vacation is forgetting the real world and immersing yourself in fantasy. The quickest way to indulge in this relaxation is to ditch the road stress by parking the car and using only Disney transportation. Stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and use Disney transportation exclusively during your stay.

Whether you are headed to Magic Kingdom Park for early theme Park entry or to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for a dinner reservation at Boma, Disney transportation can get you there without the added stress.

Few vacations have the option for Guests to document their trip as quickly or in a way as fun as Disney Memory Maker and the PhotoPass service. Investing in a Memory Maker package is a great way to make your vacation stand out in your mind and a photo album for years.

The simplicity of getting professional shots with everyone in the photo quickly and frequently is genius. Memory Maker even allows Guests to archive and print all the fun and goofy ride photos from the Parks.

You will also want to share photos of you screaming down Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom Park, and posing in front of Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park on Instagram. Memory Maker means you can easily share Disney trip photos in a snap on social media.

Double Down on Extra Magic Hours

Make your next Walt Disney World vacation the best by utilizing extra magic hours to see more attractions than ever before. Make a plan of which high-traffic rides or favorite rides you want to enjoy during extra magic hours and ride them during extra magic hours with minimal wait times.

Pro tip: If you’ve seen the attractions you wanted to see, stick around to enjoy the slower pace of the Park during evening extra magic hours. Grab a snack and relax on a bench to people watch or meander the shops to check out merchandise with fewer crowds.

Break from Parks but Not the Magic

Do Disney Park or Disney Water Park days always seem packed to the brim? Why not enjoy a leisurely pace for at least one of your vacation days? Take a break from a hot and hectic Park day by taking a midday break. No worries, leaving the Park need not mean you leave the magic! Take some time to enjoy the pool, dining, shopping, or other activities at your Resort. Renting bikes, riding horses on Disney trails, fishing on Bay Lake, or zipping down a Disney Hotel water slide are all ways to recharge and enjoy a different side of the Disney magic.

Enjoy the Magic of Parks After Dark

Nighttime light show spectaculars, music, and nightlife in the Parks and Disney Springs are unmatched. Fireworks, laser shows, projections, and music you will find nowhere else on earth are available to enjoy at Walt Disney World. Night activities in the Parks are worth staying for. I love enjoying projections on Cinderella Castle or admiring EPCOT Harmonious with a cocktail in World Showcase.

Have a Quiet Evening at Your Resort

About Katie Chapman

Hey There! I am a Georgia native with a passion for writing, traveling, cooking, decorating, pugs and of course all things Disney. Growing up in South Georgia just a few hours from Walt Disney World made for a magical childhood. Some of my best memories were made on Main Street U.S.A. with my sister watching SpectroMagic nighttime parade or beside my grandparents, parents and extended family at Chef Mickey’s celebrating on a family vacation. Epcot was my favorite park from a young age and I credit it with my interest in and love for international travel. As a kid I loved meeting characters and watching films around World Showcase and could spend hours exploring each of the countries in Epcot. These days, my husband and I get away to explore a new country whenever we can and even incorporate trips to The Disney Store and Disney Parks around the world in our travels. One of our travel goals is to visit every Disney Park in the world. I love writing about Disney restaurants, park tips, Disney outfit inspiration and Disney history. Pocahontas is my favorite Disney Princess (90s kid here!) but Mr. Toad is my spirit animal. When I’m not at Disney I’m reading about park history, watching Disney documentaries and shopping vintage Disney merch for park outfits. I never pass up a reservation to Ohana, an empty seat on Living with the Land or a Violet Sake.
