As regular Walt Disney World Resort Park Guests, when we do visit Disneyland Resort, it’s an odd feeling NOT wearing a MagicBand. Well, after months of waiting, Disney has FINALLY revealed the update we’ve all been waiting for. That’s right… MagicBand+ is officially launching at Disneyland soon.
@ScottGustin took to social media to share, “NEW: MagicBand+ will officially launch at Disneyland “this fall. MagicBand+ will work for Park entry, Lightning Lane, and Batuu Bounty Hunters. MB+ will also “come alive” during World of Color, Fantasmic! and “other select nighttime spectaculars.”
Disney MagicBand+ is a step up from the “regular” MagicBands that have been available at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney World has already launched the use of MagicBand+ to “plus” experiences such as the Fab 50 character sculptures and fireworks viewing of Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom Park and Harmonious at EPCOT.
Now, with the official launch of MagicBand+ happening at Disneyland Resort, Park Guests on the west coast will easily be able to gain access to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Plus, the lights and vibrations MagicBand+ offers will be fun additions to World of Color, Fantasmic!, and more.
Purchasing Disney Genie+ or individual Lightning Lanes while at Disneyland? The MagicBand+ will be an easy option for scanning entry into the Lightning Lane, rather than having to pull out your phone to do so.
Ready to purchase a new MagicBand+ before it launches at Disneyland Resort this fall? MagicBand+ pricing begins at $35.99, with multiple selections available online via shopDisney. Once you purchase a MagicBand+ simply connect with your My Disney Experience App account at Walt Disney World or a Disneyland Mobile App account at Disneyland Resort.
We will be sure to share further details with Disney Tips readers as we learn more about this exciting MagicBand+ theme park update!
