MagicBand+ debuted to a divided audience in late July at Walt Disney World Resort. Videos appeared on social media of Guests excitedly showing off the new features of their wristbands around places like Magic Kingdom.

Others shared how underwhelmed they were with the upgrade, expressing disappointment in the price they paid for the purchase. MagicBand+ sells for a higher amount than its predecessors, costing Guests between $10 and $30 more than previous versions.

MagicBands help simplify Guests’ time at the Walt Disney World Resort. Visitors can use the wristbands in Disney Parks and hotels to make purchases and take advantage of Disney’s PhotoPass service.

Unfortunately, once the bands were unveiled, Guests immediately reported problems with them. MagicBand+ is supposed to come fully charged right out of the box. Many Guests reported that this was not the case.

Another issue Guests are dealing with is the length of charge. Several people conveyed that their MagicBand+ maintained its battery power for only a couple of hours, while Disney advertised it would last much longer.

Also disappointing to Guests was the simplicity of the band’s syncing feature, which was supposed to be one of its highlights. Guests were underwhelmed at its light display during shows like Disney’s Enchantment Fireworks.

Now, an additional problem regarding MagicBand+ has surfaced. According to The Street, Disney hasn’t been sending the wristbands out on time. As orders for the new product flood in, Disney can’t keep up with its shipment schedule.

This poses a considerable problem for Disney Guests planning a vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. The error has caused some visitors not to receive their MagicBand+ in time for their vacation.

This has been a recurring problem for Disney regarding the infamous wristbands. The MagicBand 2 also experienced supply chain issues, with Guests unable to preorder the product.

With attractive new features and designs, Disney’s MagicBand+ has excellent potential. Guests of Florida’s Disney Parks are eager to get their hands on the hot commodity, which will hopefully encourage Disney to make some necessary changes.
