Everybody knows that a trip to any Disney Park comes at a price. On top of the detailed planning necessary for a successful trip, Guests must decide whether the cost of the experience will be worth it.
Many people would agree that spending time at Disney Parks is an investment in one’s happiness. For Disney fans, the Parks provide an escape from life’s everyday worries and realities.
This explains why Disney never seems to be able to lessen the number of Passholders with price hikes or gimmicks. The cost is simply worth the experience for many people.
I can attest to this! After all, few places can take your mind off your problems, like a trip to Disney Parks. It seems that Guests are willing to pay top dollar for their mental health, in a sense.
Recently, the New York Post reported that a one-day ticket to Walt Disney World has skyrocketed 3,871% since the Park opened in 1971. Although this is true, the Motley Fool countered the findings, pointing out that it was not an accurate representation of price changes over the years.
In 1971, a ticket cost $3.50, but admission did not come with access to all of Walt Disney World’s rides and attractions. Guests had to buy booklets with different options to experience all the Park had to offer.
With the negative press Disney sometimes receives due to its pricing, you may be surprised to learn that Walt Disney World isn’t even the most expensive theme park in Florida!
Click Orlando reports The Family Vacation Guide did a study, finding that Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is actually the most costly theme Park in The Sunshine State. A single-day ticket for Busch Gardens starts at $117.94, while a single-day ticket at Walt Disney World starts at $109.00.
Will this change the way people view Walt Disney World Resort? What do you think?
