This Character Interaction at Disney Parks Is Sure To Make You Cry

A sweet encounter at Disney Parks was posted on Instagram a few weeks ago. Disney bloggers Rachel and Jamie from @weknowdisney shared an interaction they had with Carl from Up (2009).

First, can we just say, how adorable does Carl look in this video?! With his furry friend Dug in the background, the two make quite a handsome pair!

As the video begins, the girls comment on Carl’s wedding ring, telling him they like that he still wears it. They convey that it’s really special, being that his beloved wife Ellie has passed on.

Carl lovingly places his wedding ring hand over his heart and proudly points the band out to the girls. They tell him that they miss and love Ellie too! The Disney character acts emotional in response to the girl’s commentary. One of them mentions that her grandmother’s name was Ellie.

Carl suddenly lights up, surprised at her announcement, and points to her in delight. He draws a heart with his hands, sending love in their direction. Carl blows a kiss and points up to the sky, motioning that his beloved darling and the Guest’s grandmother are looking down on them from heaven. The girls tell him he’s making them cry as the video comes to a close.

The encounter seems to have made an impact on the pair, who frequents the Parks, sharing their Disney adventures with followers on social media. In the video’s caption, they wrote, “WHEN CAST MEMBERS EXCEED EXPECTATIONS!!! Whoever the Cast Member was that played Carl Fredricksen that day, just know that you created a core memory, and I’m forever grateful!”
