Mickey & Minnie to Debut Brand New Looks in 2023

Are there any characters more iconic than Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse? The loveable duo has sported all kinds of fashions and portrayed countless roles in animated shorts and full-length films, as well as in Disney Parks and at sea aboard Disney Cruise Line over the years.

Every now and then, we see Mickey and Minnie step out in new seasonal styles or with a new look altogether, and that’s just what’s coming for the two characters in 2023.

The latest new look for Mickey and Minnie (and the rest of the Fab Five) came with Walt Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration, which kicked off on October 1, 2021. The new EARidescent looks can be seen in Magic Kingdom Park until the end of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”

The next anniversary style set to debut on Mickey and Minnie Mouse is one that fans will actually be able to spot at sea as Disney Cruise Line is gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2023!

The first Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Magic, was launched in July 1998. In the 25 years since, the fleet has grown to include five ships (six if you include the recent acquisition of the Global Dream ship, and eight if you include the future Disney Treasure and yet-unnamed additional ship in the works.)

The Disney Parks Blog shared the above concept art showcasing the couple’s new look inspired by the “Shimmering Seas” theme of the anniversary celebration, reminiscent of ocean waves.

Along with the new look for Mickey and Minnie, Disney Cruise Line’s 25th-anniversary celebration will include new family entertainment aboard all ships in the fleet, a new signature song to celebrate while onboard, unique food and beverage options, and a new Shimmering Seas collection of exclusive merchandise.

DCL’s Silver Anniversary will also come with the addition of a new membership tier for the Castaway Club and exciting sailings throughout the year to destinations like Alaska, Canada, the Greek Isles, the Mediterranean, and more, along with Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island.
