As we get ready to head into 2022, everyone is thinking about what resolutions they are going to make for the new year.
We thought we would have some fun and think about what 2022 Disney resolutions we have for our next Walt Disney World vacation.
Take a look at our Disney New Year’s Resolutions and see if you want to jump on board with us for your next Walt Disney World vacation.

Figure Out Disney Genie
Our first resolution is figuring out Disney Genie and all it has to offer.
In October, Walt Disney World released Disney Genie, a free planning tool located within the My Disney Experience App.
Guests can use Disney Genie to receive touring suggestions during their visit to a Theme Park.
As part of Disney Genie, Guests can also choose to purchase Disney Genie+ for $15/day/person. This purchase gives Guests access to over 40 Lightning Lanes throughout the four Theme Parks, therefore, saving time in line.
Finally, Guests can also choose to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes for select attractions such as Rise of the Resistance or Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. These aren’t included in the Disney Genie+ purchase.
The price for Individual Lightning Lane rides ranges from $7 to $15 per ride/person, and the price can change depending on the time of the year.
Our resolution is to first get on board with this new system because it is what is being offered, and second to figure out how to use it to the best of our ability.
We are still learning which rides (Slinky Dog Dash and Jungle Cruise) go quickly, and which Parks (Disney’s Animal Kingdom) might not need Disney Genie+.

Find the Fab 50 Statues
As part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration, Disney has placed statues of 50 characters throughout the four Theme Parks. There aren’t 50 statues, because some have two characters (like Bambi and Thumper above) on them.
It is our resolution on our next Walt Disney World vacation to find each and every statue.
Not only do we think that they are super cute, we think it would be a fun adventure to try to find them all.
Yes, we know there is probably a list that will tell us where they are all located throughout the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, but what is the fun of that?
Try All the 50th Anniversary Snacks
While we are thinking about the 50th Anniversary Celebration, another resolution that comes to mind for 2022 is to try all the 50th anniversary snacks found throughout Walt Disney World.
This might be a longer process than finding the Fab 50 statues, but we think it would be fun to try a variety of snacks celebrating the 50th anniversary.
From adorable cupcakes to specialty drinks, we think that this could be a fantastic resolution.

Visit New Dining Locations
There are some fantastic new dining locations in Walt Disney World, and part of our 2022 Disney New Year’s Resolution includes trying them out.
First will be Steakhouse 71, located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This new dining location replaced The Wave, and has been taking Guests by a storm.
Guests love the new decorations that throw it back to 1971, which is when the Magic Kingdom opened. On top of that, the food is fantastic.
We can’t wait to try out a steak, burger, wings, and the 15 Layer Cake!
Over in EPCOT, Space 220 Restaurant has finally opened, and it is a goal to eat high above Earth.
With a prix-fixe menu, Guests can enjoy both lunch and dinner in Space 220 Restaurant. There are some fantastic, unique drinks and menu items here, and the experience is out of this world.
We are also looking forward to trying out the new Le Creperie de Paris in the France Pavilion. We plan to enjoy a sweet option at this new dining location in the World Showcase.

Try Out the New Nighttime Shows
It was heartbreaking for us to learn that Happily Ever After is permanently gone from the Magic Kingdom. As part of our 2022 Disney New Year’s Resolution, we are going to try out the new nighttime shows.
Disney Enchantment is the new nighttime show in Magic Kingdom, and Harmonious is now showing in EPCOT.
As part of our resolutions, we want to give these new shows a chance to make an impression on us.
When we visit in 2022, we will make time to see the nighttime shows and take in the magic that they offer.
Slow Down
Our final 2022 Disney New Year’s Resolution is to slow down the next time we are in Walt Disney World.
We absolutely love all the magic that the four Theme Parks, Disney Springs, the Water Parks, and the Resorts have to offer, but sometimes we have to remind ourselves to slow down and enjoy it.
During our next Walt Disney World vacation, we are going to schedule in time to slow down and enjoy the magic.
Slowing down might be a full Resort day, a pool day, or even possibly a morning to sleep in. We know that we need to take time to truly enjoy all the magic that Disney has to offer.
