We have good news! Another Disney experience has made its way back to Walt Disney World Resort, taking Guests by surprise.

Park goers can now mingle with Merida in Disney’s enchanting Fairytale Garden, located in Fantasyland. Disney astonished us with the return of this beloved character, as no announcement was made beforehand.

Walt Disney World’s official website lists Meet Merida at Fairytale Garden as “Returning Soon!” But upon closer inspection, today’s date is listed, along with available times to interact with the curly-haired princess.

Disney similarly surprised Guests last week with the opening of Jessie’s Trading Post in Toy Story Land. The shop opened its doors unexpectedly, with no prior date set for its arrival.

It’s starting to seem like the surprise element is an intentional goal of the usually announcement-driven Theme Park. As more experiences trickle in, Guests should keep their eye out. You never know when your favorite experience might appear at the Resort!

Make sure to take advantage of Lightning Lanes when it comes to meeting Disney characters at the Parks, using Disney’s Genie+ service. Some of the other popular meet-and-greets at Walt Disney World Resort include characters located within  Star Wars: Launch Bay.

The location reopened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 17. In addition to galactic exhibits, artifacts, costumes, and memorabilia from the beloved films are interactions with your favorite Star Wars characters.

Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and BB-8 are on hand for meet-and-greets in the area, with Guests lining up for their chance to chat with the iconic heroes and villains.

Merida is the feisty Princess of DunBroch from Disney’s Brave (2012). Make sure to stop by to hear about her adventures, as well as her love for archery. You won’t want to miss your chance to meet this Brave character!
