A New Authentic Mexican Restaurant is Coming Soon to Walt Disney World

Dining at Walt Disney World just got more exciting, with an announcement just released for a brand new authentic Mexican restaurant set to open at the Resort next year.

While the entire Disney property offers numerous foodie destinations, it is no secret that EPCOT and its adjacent Resort Area offer some of the best restaurants around. From new eats at Space 220 Restaurant to dining at the pavilions of World Showcase and even with a stroll around the Resorts of Crescent Lake, there are so many places to try near this Disney Park.

Guests exploring the EPCOT Resort Area will be thrilled to learn of a brand new table-service dining experience at to open at the Walt Disney World Resort. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort currently offers 22 restaurants with something for every taste and budget, and its next dining addition is sure to hit the top of your must-eat list for your next trip.

Rosa Mexicano Restaurants has officially announced that their next location will be in the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort with an opening set for early 2023. The authentic Mexican dining experience already operates locations in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Maryland, with future openings already planned for Connecticut, Virginia, North Carolina and Las Vegas.

When Rosa Mexicano opens its next location at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, the restaurant will serve up an elevated take on authentic Mexican cuisine with a packed tequila list to craft award-winning margaritas paired with signature menu items.

Rosa Mexicano’s arrival to Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is a truly exciting moment of our expansion. The opening reflects our founding chef Josefina Howard’s vision of introducing Mexican culinary traditions and authentic Mexican heritage to the world. Once the restaurant opens, we will offer the Orlando market a fresh take on Mexican food, authentic Mexican heritage, culinary techniques and lively dining.

Once open at the Resort in the former Fresh Mediterranean Market space, the restaurant will encompass a 5,500 square foot dining experience bringing its total capacity to 300 Guests, with a 30-person bar, and private dining space for 50.

Guests who have dined at other Rosa Mexicano locations will find familiar favorites on the menu, but for those new to the brand, Guests can expect to find a modern take on authentic Mexican cuisine inspired by the various culinary regions across the country. Along with over 100 tequilas, the drink menu will also feature Rosa Mexicano’s frozen pomegranate margarita, which was named the best in New York City.

While the restaurant is not set to open until the beginning of next year, Guests attending this year’s Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic will be the first to get a taste of the new dining experience through a tasting station at the event.

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin has not yet announced a closing date for Fresh Mediterranean Market, so the restaurant is currently open until further notice.
