The ultimate fan event, D23 Expo, is coming back in September of 2022, and we just got a sneak peek of some of the details! D23 just announced that Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar will be sharing some brand new footage and experiences at the event.
Some exciting offerings fans have to look forward to at the D23 Expo 2022 include announcements, first looks, sneak peeks, and special presentations. The subject matter will consist of classic and upcoming animated films and titles available for streaming.
Also, at the event, will be displays, autograph signings, photo opportunities, filmmaker Q&As, and giveaways! It’s going to be an exciting weekend, with the festivities kicking off on Friday, September 9, at the Hyperion Stage.
“traceback”: Celebrating the People of Walt Disney Animation Studios will debut first in the lineup, from 11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m. This panel gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the vast array of work from women and employees of color at Walt Disney Animation Studios over the years.
Following this event on Friday, at 3:30 p.m. in Hall D23, will be Looking Ahead With the Walt Disney Studios. This special event is filled with sneak peeks of upcoming movies and series.
Included will be brand new footage, surprise announcements, and musical performances. Fans will also get the inside scoop on Win or Lose, which comes to Disney+ next year.
Pixar’s 2023 movie Elemental will also be discussed. The movie takes place in a city setting where residents of fire-, water-, land-, and air- are living together.
