Disney Gives “Squeak Peek” of Water Attraction Onboard the Disney Wish

Disney Parks posted what they cleverly referred to as a “squeak peak” of the AquaMouse waterslide onboard the Disney Wish, and it looks like a blast! With a cheerful soundtrack in the background, the ride starts off in a tunnel, where scenes from “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” are playing along either side of the innertube.

Next, we see the excited ride-goer plummeting down a dark abyss, whirling and twirling through the tubes! Suddenly there’s a speck of light as the ride vehicle exits the shaft and inclines into the open air. From there, it’s up and down until it reaches yet another enclosure.

This time, the tunnel is see-through, giving off stunning views of the water, land, and ship. A couple more twists and turns lead the inner tube to its exit, where Mickey and Minnie can be seen greeting Guests with flags overhead.

Wow, what a ride! I don’t know about you, but this makes me want to experience the luxury liner even more. The Disney Wish sets sail on July 14 and has Guests eager for its maiden voyage.

An interesting fact for fans of the Disney Cruise Line, the Aquamouse is the first Disney attraction at sea! Yes, there have been water slides aboard other Disney Cruise ships, but none quite like this one!

Incorporating cutting-edge technology with a magical touch of Disney animation, the attraction is more like a ride than a slide. With 760 feet of tube above the upper decks, AquaMouse will be well worth the wait. Along with the animated shorts, the ride boasts special effects and includes an original soundtrack that it syncs to!

In between the tunnels, in mysterious fathoms below, several pools form the shape of our favorite mouse’s ears to create a Hidden Mickey! It’s touches like these that leave Guests pining for more. I think it’s safe to say that Disney delivered on this one!
