Let’s face it: A trip to Walt Disney World Resort is really an exercise program disguised as a vacation. The days are long, the lines are longer, and the temperatures can be almost unbearable. Now, Disney does a great job at completely immersing you in the worlds it creates, but sometimes that can leave the shade really lacking.

Think of places like the World Showcase, and nearly all of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, almost no shade — unless you head into a store (which is probably part of their master plan).

Because of this, it is extremely important to stay hydrated. The last thing you want is to sour your vacation because you have to be carted off in a wheelchair after passing out from dehydration.

And it’s not just the heat that can cause you to become dehydrated. Every day during your vacation, you will take thousands of steps as you travel around the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, basically everywhere. Water will give your body some of what it needs to make it through those days.

Disney does sell bottles of water, but the cost quickly adds up and can put quite a dent in your budget. You can also always go to a quick-service dining spot and ask for a cup of water.

Some guests like to be more economical and environmentally friendly and bring their own water bottles to the parks. These guests can also go to quick-service spots to get cups of water and pour those into their water bottles. But there is another option available.

In recent years, Disney has started adding Water Refill Stations to its theme parks. These are machines where guests put their water bottles under a spigot, press a button, and boom, go ahead and fill up your water bottle.

Here are all the Water Refill locations in the Magic Kingdom!

By Restrooms at TRON Lightcycle/Run

TRON Lightcycle/Run is one of the newest additions to the Magic Kingdom, having taken nearly five years to complete. But after years of waiting, complaining, and wondering what the heck was going on, TRON finally opened on April 4, 2023. And that is where you’ll want to head to find our first refill station.

To get to the TRON restrooms, you will want to head up the walkway, going towards the queue entrance. At the top of the walkway, before you turn towards the queue, you will see the bathrooms straight ahead. Right outside the bathroom, you will see the water refill station set off to the side, away from the direction of the queue entrance.

Inside Pinocchio Village Haus

For this next refill station, you’re going to want to head over to Fantasyland, where Pinocchio Village Haus is located. Pinocchio Village Haus isn’t known for its fantastic food, but it is one of the few locations in the Magic Kingdom with a water refill station.

When you enter Pinocchio Village Haus, you’ll want to turn left. You will see a door that leads to a courtyard full of tables where you can enjoy your food when the weather is nice or when the restaurant is really busy. Next to the door to the courtyard is where you will find the second water refill station in the Magic Kingdom.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café

The Magic Kingdom might be the most popular theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort, but it is also the one with the fewest number of water refill stations.

To get to the third and final refill station, you’ll want to head back to Tomorrowland and the iconic Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café. Cosmic Ray’s invites guests to enjoy a galaxy full of classic menu items like Bacon Cheeseburgers, Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwiches, Greek Salads, Patty Melts, Truffle Fries, and a Passion Fruit-Mandarin Tart.

There are also specialty drinks like the Lunar Lemonade and the Sulley Slush, along with traditional drinks like soda, milk, chocolate milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, and bottled water.

Now, this article is all about how to save money instead of spending it on pricey bottles of water. To get to this water refill station, walk into Cosmic Rays and head to the small area between Bays 2 and Bay 3. The “Bays” are where guests will order and pick up food, so during certain times of the day, it might be a little busy inside.

As water refill stations become more popular and the world becomes more eco-friendly, hopefully, Disney will put more stations in the Magic Kingdom. They recently added several new stations in Disneyland Park, so the Magic Kingdom might not be far behind.

But as of right now, outside the TRON restrooms, inside Pinocchio Village Haus, and inside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café are the only places in the Magic Kingdom where you can fill up your water bottle.

And remember, if you forgot your water bottle at home, you can always get free cups of water at any quick-service dining location, like Cosmic Ray’s!
