Disney Tips Your Guide To A Great Disney Vacation
Make-A-Wish and Disney have done it again with another unforgettable experience. Disney’s Once Upon a Wish Party was held this weekend at Walt Disney World. The partnership between Make-A-Wish and The Walt Disney Company “has made a remarkable 150,000 Disney wishes come true for children facing critical illnesses and their families,” Disney details.
Once Upon a Wish Party has been in the works for over a year, consisting of 500 Cast Members to complete the job. Leading up to the event, Disney Parks Blog let us in on the magic to see how it was all coming together. “The care of our wish families remained at the heart of this event, and our cast has risen to the occasion to create the most magical celebration for these families so they can make new happy memories together,” Disney Parks Event Manager Angeline Aguayo said.
Over 50 critically ill children and their families from all over the country were hosted at the largest wish-granting event ever. The fully immersive experience brought magic and royalty for the best day ever.

Once Upon a Wish Party
Disney shared all the joy and magic on social media to let us watch the fun. As children and their families enjoy their special day, it’s only another reminder of how special Disney can be. Children are seen hugging their favorite Princesses, from Tiana to Ariel to Minnie Mouse. The young royals are welcomed into the event, decked out in their own outfits that are fit for any ball.

While Disney’s Princesses and Princes showed up in their most royal attire, they were merely a part of the show. The children’s excitement being around all of their favorite Disney characters truly stole the show. Furthermore, watching their wishes be fulfilled was simply heartwarming.

Fairy Godmother made sure all the children and their families felt the magic and ensured the memory of Once Upon a Wish Party was one they’d keep forever. To top it off, another wish granted was for 17-year-old Mikayla, whose wish was to perform onstage at Disney. Her wish was granted as she took the stage at the royal ball to sing Tale as Old As Time.
