Guests at Disneyland are upset after discovering that three of the five iconic pineapples surrounding the Rongo God of Agriculture statue outside the Enchanted Tiki Room have been stolen. The distinctive pineapples, which have long been part of the beloved attraction’s exterior, are now missing, leaving only two of the five intact at the base of the statue.
A Disturbing Discovery
The theft was discovered by park visitors recently, with many shocked and disappointed by the act. The pineapples, part of the larger display honoring Rongo—who represents agriculture and the nurturing of crops in Polynesian culture—have been a staple of the Tiki Room’s exterior for years. They were designed to be a playful, interactive element for guests to admire, contributing to the tropical and whimsical atmosphere of the Disneyland attraction. Along with a photo, one guest says:
“Only two of the five pineapples are still at the base of Rongo God of Agriculture outside Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland. The other three have been ripped off… They’re def not close to ripe and up close you can see the stem on this one was snapped off. The other two were clearly ripped off though.”

The other three pineapples have been removed, raising concerns among both park-goers and Disney fans who cherish the little details that make Disneyland unique. The theft of these props has sparked conversations about respect for the park and its treasured artifacts.
Guests Express Their Disappointment
Many guests have expressed frustration over the theft, citing that Disney parks are meant to be a place of joy and respect for the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into every corner of the park.
While Disney has not officially commented on the specific theft of the pineapples, it is not the first time that small park elements have been stolen or damaged by guests. The thefts are a reminder of the importance of maintaining respect for the magic that Disney works hard to preserve.
For now, the Rongo God of Agriculture statue remains a key element of Disneyland’s iconic Tiki Room area, but with three pineapples gone, fans are left wondering whether they’ll ever return to their rightful place. Disney may decide to reinforce security around the statue or even replace the missing pineapples, but for many, the incident highlights a broader issue of the treatment of park property.
Guests are encouraged to be respectful of the park’s elements and reminded that Disneyland’s details and attractions are meant for everyone to enjoy. With the Enchanted Tiki Room continuing to draw crowds for its classic charm, it’s clear that the pineapples were more than just decorative pieces—they were a part of the magic that Disneyland fans hold dear.

Probably an inside job… cast members aren’t going to say a lot about anything going on around them. But people in Cali are just a little too stupid to figure it out.. Even if it was a guest, almost hard to blame them… just trying to get enough money to get your next meal, right? It’s a different California. You people shouldn’t worry about some wooden pineapples… because you really don’t care when a baby’s life is stolen from this world… no, that means nothing. Irresponsible idiots running around playing in Disneyland… has any of life hit you yet? Grow up!
