Walt Disney World has some amazing rides to experience throughout all four parks. We have a list of what we think are the top rides in each of the parks. Take a look at the list and let us know what you think. Was your favorite ride included in the list?
Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom has some awesome choices that are extremely different from one another.
Leading the way is Avatar Flight of Passage. Here guests can soar on the back of a banshee as they experience the world of Pandora. This ride is extremely unique and is one of the top rides right now in Disney World.
Expedition Everest is next on the top list at Animal Kingdom. This unique coaster has it all. It goes backwards, in the dark and is extremely fast. The overall theme can’t be beat either as the artifacts in the queue really set the scene. This adventure to see the Yeti is an absolutely must.
It isn’t surprising that Kilimanjaro Safaris is top of the list as well. This ride is also extremely unique, but in a totally different way. Here guests can enjoy looking at live animals as they roam the safari in Animal Kingdom. There are so many animals to see and every ride is truly different. Get up and close to giraffes, okapi, elephants and lions.
We have to agree with these top rides in Animal Kingdom. Each of them provide fun, exciting experiences that are completely unique. Make sure to check this post about what not to miss at Animal Kingdom.
Epcot
Epcot is a little tough right now as it is truly going through growing pains. We can’t wait to see what amazing rides come in the future, but don’t worry, there are still a few rides that made the top ride list.
Head on over to The Land Pavilion and fly through the world on Soarin. Hang glide right over amazing landmarks throughout the world as you soar over places such as the Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China and even Spaceship Earth. We absolutely love soarin and how it uses both sights and smells to bring the scenes to life.
Buckle up and get ready for Test Track. The speediest ride in Walt Disney World (that’s right) takes guests on a fast paced test and wraps up with a 65 mile-per-hour launch that will leave guests laughing.
Living with the Land is the third ride in Epcot that made the list. This seems a little surprising following the other high-paced rides that have made the list. This ride sends it back to old-school Epcot that brings edu-tainment to guests. Guests can travel through the greenhouses of Epcot and learn how Disney is currently working to better production and more.
We anticipate that Epcot will have even more top-rides in future years as both Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind make their debut.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has made great progress when it comes to rides over the last few years.
Rise of the Resistance has to be the top experience in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Depending on your ride style, this experience ranks right up there with Avatar Flight of Passage. Rise of the Resistance puts guests right in the middle of the action as they become a part of the story. This is like nothing else you will ever experience and it is fantastic.
Slinky Dog Dash is a fun, family center coaster in Toy Story Land that will leave guests screaming and laughing with joy. With two small launches, a fun drop as well as a few dips it has a little of everything. Don’t miss the great views from this coaster as well.
The newest ride in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. This family, friendly ride is the first where Mickey becomes the center of the ride. Travel with Mickey and friends in a unique 2-½ D experience and find yourself amazed at the outstanding and breathtaking visuals in this ride.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has transformed itself over the last few years and has some of the best rides in Walt Disney World.
Magic Kingdom
There are so many amazing rides in Magic Kingdom it was hard to narrow down our top three. The fun part of Magic Kingdom is all the rides are so different from one another, but it also makes it hard to choose just three rides. To be honest, our favorite sometimes changes based on what we are in the mood for that day. Do we want speed and thrills or comfort and fun?
One ride we think is a hit every-time we visit is Pirates of the Caribbean. This ride combines a dark ride with water and even a small thrill with a drop. To us this is one of the best rides in Magic Kingdom because it has so much to offer.
Splash Mountain is another favorite ride in Magic Kingdom. Not only is it a longer ride which makes your investment in waiting worth it, we also love how it offers songs, entertainment and of course some big drops. Even though it is going to be changed with a new Princess and the Frog overlay, we think it will remain a favorite of guests.
The wildest ride in the wilderness is another favorite ride in Magic Kingdom. Guests can race through the wilderness on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It is a good first coaster as it doesn’t have huge drops or heights making it easier for those younger family members.
