Recently, Disney Tips shared an article reporting on the case of Marisia Burton, a nineteen-year-old Disney College Program participant who was reported as missing since December 22, 2022.

Today, we’re relieved to share that she has been found, according to her sister’s Instagram and to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Marisia Burton had been missing since December 22, 2022. She had been last seen at a Disney College Program housing community (Flamingo Crossings East, to be specific), and there was no information on where she was or what had happened. Her family back in her hometown of Houston, Texas, were worried sick at the lack of contact and lack of information.

On Instagram, her family had written that “losing contact with family, friends, and loved ones, particularly during the holiday season is uncharacteristic of her and very much concerning for our family.”

However, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Marisia Burton is safe and found. Although their Tweet reports that Burton went missing on December 25, 2022, while her family says she had been missing since December 22, 2022, it also notes that she spoke to police in Houston herself.

As of right now, there is little information as to how and why Marisia went missing. It’s important to note that officials have pointed out no suspicions of foul play as of January 3, 2023.

That being said, much of the general public is still worried and suspicious due to a lack of information. While waiting for an update from Burton’s family and the officials, it may be best to refrain from posting theories or “anything negative” (as one supporter put it) regarding Marisia Burton’s situation.

It’s always important to remain respectful and courteous toward Marisia Burton and her family during a time as sensitive as this.

Disney Tips will continue to keep this story updated. Stay tuned for more information.
