Marisia Burton, a Walt Disney World Resort Cast Member participating in the Disney College Program, has been missing for eight days now with no information on her whereabouts.
The Disney College Program, a paid internship experience aimed at university students completing their undergraduate studies, began in 1980 at the Magic Kingdom. Over the course of six months or more, “CPs” (as they call themselves) receive employment at Disney Parks and professional development in areas related to themed entertainment, hospitality, and other branches of Disney careers.
Recently, Disney announced the completion of an all-new housing development specifically for College Program participants known as Flamingo Crossings. In fact, 19-year-old Marisia has lived at Flamingo Crossings East in Winter Garden, Florida, since January 2022.
However, Marisia was last seen at the housing community on December 22, 2022, with no information on her whereabouts since then. As a result, for eight days, her family back in Houston, Texas, has had no idea where she is or what has happened to her.
Moreover, Marisia’s sibling shared a statement on Instagram with more information on the missing person’s situation, claiming that this is extremely uncharacteristic of her not to contact them, especially over the holidays:
