Guests recently visiting Disneyland Resort found themselves waiting to be evacuated off a popular Disney attraction. Why? Because someone reportedly jumped off the attraction.
With the mass amount of Guests flooding to Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, it’s no surprise that sometimes ride hiccups are inevitable. When Guests are evacuated, videos of the evacuation process typically go viral.
Not too long ago, we watched Guests being evacuated off “it’s a small world” at Disneyland Park. Evacuations also allow for sneak peeks behind the scenes as we saw with a recent Spaceship Earth evacuation video at EPCOT and Kilimanjaro Safaris evacuation video at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Even the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction was evacuated not too long ago.
And while we understand mishaps and mechanical issues from time to time, the upsetting part is when the evacuation is caused due to a Guest making a poor decision.

The popular Splash Mountain (soon to be Tiana’s Bayou Adventure) attraction at Disneyland recently needed to be evacuated due to a young child jumping out of the boat ride.
Now, another incident has occurred with the fan-favorite Grizzly River Run attraction at Disney California Adventure Park.
The water ride was moving along just fine until one family was stopped and decided to video the evacuation process as posted by Kelly C. on TikTok in the video below:
Why did Grizzly River Run need to be evacuated? As noted in the video, it was reportedly due to a Guest wrongfully jumping off the attraction which ruined the fun for everyone.
The quick water drain and the ladder needed to help Guests evacuate from the attraction are impressive to see – but not at the expense of someone not following the simple safety rules of remaining seated while on a Disney attraction.
