Although Thanksgiving is only a week away, Walt Disney World Resort has already been fully decorated for the Christmas season.

As soon as Halloween ended, the holidays began at Walt Disney World.

Whether visiting Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, or even Disney Springs, Walt Disney World is full of seasonal decorations, festive music, and holiday-themed treats. The Disney characters within the parks have donned their gay apparel, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is in full swing.

The Walt Disney World Resort hotels are not exempt from seasonal changes, but one Disney Resort hotel takes the cake for the most iconic decoration.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is home to some of the most luxurious experiences in Walt Disney World and is even known as the most expensive Walt Disney World Resort hotel. But around the holidays, this hotel is known for something even bigger: the life-size gingerbread house.

Each year, a team of Disney pastry chefs work tirelessly to create a real-life gingerbread house. Not only does the display look like something out of a fairytale, but it’s also entirely edible. No wonder Guests are so enchanted by this gingerbread masterpiece!

Hundreds of pounds of sugar, honey, dark chocolate, and other ingredients go into these edible displays. Although it takes hours to cook, bake, and craft this life-size gingerbread house, you can watch the display come together in seconds in this video.

As we can see in the video, it takes an entire team of pastry chefs, scaffolding, ladders, and even a lift to craft this larger-than-life display. The end result is breathtaking and totally adds an extra layer of Disney Christmas magic to the Resort!
