Festivals

It doesn’t matter when you are traveling to Disney World; there always seems to be a festival at EPCOT’s World Showcase. The year starts with the amazing EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, where talented artists come into the Park to show off their work. This is a great time to become part of the festival, with interactive booths and activities throughout. The spring months bring in EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival with beautiful topiaries and gorgeous flower arrangements that make EPCOT look stunning. From there, EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival starts bringing amazing food from around the world. Finally, EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays brings in the holiday spirit with holiday kitchens, entertainment such as Candlelight Processional, and so much more for a short period. There is so much for adults to like when it comes to festivals that it is a huge draw. Adults appreciate the food booths where they can try a variety of food and drinks flavored from around the world. Each festival’s unique entertainment is also extremely fun for adults to enjoy together as they travel around the World Showcase. When heading to EPCOT, always check to see what festival experiences are available as they shouldn’t be missed.

Great Meals

If there is one Theme Park in Walt Disney World known for dining options, it is EPCOT. There are so many table-service locations throughout the Park that adults will be surprised to find such fine dining inside a Theme Park. No matter what style of food you are looking for, it can be found at EPCOT. One of the top dining locations is Le Cellier Steakhouse in Canada, which offers a romantic atmosphere and outstanding steaks. Monsieur Paul, when opened, is a signature dining experience that provides gourmet French cuisine. Over in the UK Pavilion, Rose & Crown offers classic fish and chips in a family-friendly British pub. San Angel Inn over in Mexico provides a fantastic view of the indoor pyramid and Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros for another romantic atmosphere. If you are looking for a quick but less fancy meal, pizza and pasta are also in Italy’s Via Napoli or the new crepe in France. Adults will love all the outstanding food options throughout the Theme Park that provide an excellent date night or fun group atmosphere.

Rides

Adults will enjoy the ride options throughout EPCOT, whether they are thrill seekers or slow-moving fans; EPCOT has options for everyone. If you have a group that likes thrills, look at Test Track, Mission: Space, or Soarin’, all provide some fun thrills. Look to Living the Land for slow-moving rides, a slow-moving boat ride that takes Guests through the gardens that EPCOT is actively using. Journey Into Imagination with Figment, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros provide a laid back, slow moving ride that everyone can enjoy together. Don’t skip out on Spaceship Earth, a classic EPCOT ride that will take Guests through our history of communication. Frozen Ever After and the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure are rides that the whole group can ride together but have a little more of a thrill than those slow-moving rides mentioned before. Frozen Ever After, the most popular ride in EPCOT, takes Guests through the story of Frozen, whereas Remy’s shrinks Guests to the size of a rat as they race through the kitchen trying not to get caught. Although some adults might find these a little kid-ish, they are a lot of fun. Adults will enjoy the variety of rides that are found in EPCOT.

Films

A feature that makes EPCOT unique is the films that can be found throughout the Park. Adults will enjoy these films as part of what makes EPCOT special, bringing education and entertainment together. Awesome Planet, located in the Land Pavilion, discusses the beauty of our planet through amazing photos. Impressions de France, Canada Far, and Wide, and Reflections of China all show off these amazing countries in beautiful films. Adults will also enjoy the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, where they can catch some adorable shorts that will bring all the emotions. Adults will appreciate the downtime to relax and learn with these films.

Pavilions

Adults will find the outstanding pavilions throughout EPCOT’s World Showcase in some of the most beautiful and unique areas in all of Walt Disney World. These pavilions truly work to bring the culture and beauty of each country to life through the shops, architecture, food, and more. Adults will enjoy taking in all the small hidden features that they might not have seen before. The gardens through Japan, Canada, and the UK pavilions are so gorgeous. The special exhibits found in the American, China, and Morocco pavilion, to name a few, are so outstanding and unique to a Theme Park that adults will find them fascinating.

Harmonious

Finally, adults will love the newest nighttime show to come to EPCOT, Harmonious. This nighttime show brings Disney music, fireworks, projections, and so much more into the show. This show focuses on bringing people together and is a beautiful show and a fantastic way to end the day at EPCOT. Adults will appreciate the music, projections, and beauty.

These are just a few of the big reasons why adults love visiting EPCOT while on their Disney vacation. There is so much to experience from shows, rides, and delicious food and drinks. If you are taking an adults only trip, don’t skip out on EPCOT.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
