The pair met years ago while working at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Nowadays, however, Adam is a manager on the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products’ Wellness team, while Dana is currently a Disney Casting recruiter.

“From the castle stage, we have a one-of-a-kind perspective of how this experience impacts our cast; it’s a special blend of yoga practice and a magical environment coming together,” said Adam. “We are incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to share the gift of yoga with our fellow Cast Members in such a unique and inspirational way.”

“It’s truly the best thing ever,” Dana added, “being such Disney fans ourselves, to share in this experience with each other, and to teach yoga in this setting next to your partner and best friend is unforgettably incredible.”

Although the married couple leads yoga at the Magic Kingdom, Disney Parks worldwide joined in their own unique Yoga sessions. At Disneyland Resort, in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, yoga instructor Shinobu Tygi, led her own event to celebrate International Yoga Day.

“It is exciting to know that our cast is choosing to participate in yoga because self-care is so important,” Shinobu said. “As a yoga instructor, I would like all our Cast to feel the impact of yoga on their physical and mental well-being — not just during the event, but also after the event and into their daily lives.”

Cast Members who were unable to attend the event at the theme Parks could join online through an exclusive Cast Member-only yoga class.

About Steven Wilk

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge should have never been built (at least not at Hollywood Studios). Every year for the past two decades, Steven has visited either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani or went on a Disney Cruise. He’s happy to share any and all knowledge of the Disney destinations (and he likes using parenthesis a lot…as well as ellipses…)
