10 Things You’ll Love About Disney Springs in Walt Disney World

Many guests are focused on enjoying the theme parks when at Walt Disney World, but Disney Springs is the home to a variety of great things to do an experience!  Here are 10 things you’ll love about Disney Springs:

10. Splitsville Luxury Lanes

Guests may not think about bowling as an activity when visiting Walt Disney World, but this is something you can experience when visiting Disney Springs.  Guests can bowl from one of the beautiful lanes while they also enjoy food and drinks.  The food there is delicious, so you may even want to drop in for a meal and skip the bowling, too!

9. The Edison

This is probably one of the most unique experiences in all of Walt Disney World.  This is a restaurant and entertainment venue that is themed to be a lavish, industrial-style hot spot in a 1920s electric company.  The food is delicious and worth a visit for any time of the day.  Kids are welcome up to a certain time and then it becomes and adults only spot to enjoy a wide variety of entertainment.  The entertainment lineup includes acts like contortionists, aerialists, live cabaret, DJs and more. The Edison is also frequently the home to many themed events and parties, too!

8. THE VOID: STEP BEYOND Reality

This is an experience that you definitely don’t want to miss when in Disney Springs.  These are the ultimate virtual reality experiences that allow guests to be immersed in a way unlike ever before.  The experiences that are currently available are Star Wars™: Secrets of the Empire and Ralph Breaks VR.  You will probably want to experience both if you can, since they are completely unique experiences.

7. Amphicar Tour

There are very few amphicars still in existence, so that makes this offering at Disney Springs very unique and special.  Guests can take a tour around the waterways of Disney Springs in style when riding in an amphicar.  These amphibious cars take guests from land to water for a unique mode of transportation to drive around in the water.  The tours are pricey, but definitely something that you can’t experience just anywhere.

6. Shop until you drop!

There are so many great shopping opportunities throughout Disney Springs.  You will be able to find a wide variety of items including Disney-branded items, major fashion brands, unique items and more.  You can even get Christmas items, housewares to decorate your house, gadgets, etc.  The list is endless and you will definitely want to check out all of these great shops.

5. Aerophile Balloon Ride

The best way to see all of Disney Springs and other areas around Walt Disney World is to view it from hundreds of feet in the air.  You can purchase tickets to go up in a helium-filled balloon and take in all of the amazing views.  We recommend experiencing it during the day and then again at night if you can since the experience is different!

4. Dining Selections Galore

If you are a Disney foodie, then you are going to love Disney Springs.  There are so many delicious dining options.  It is almost impossible to pick a favorite since there are too many great options to pick from.  You can find a variety of cuisine and styles of dining to meet your interests.  You can enjoy fine dining, unique dining, fast casual, quick service and more.  You can even try something different every time you visit and see how long it takes for you to experience it all.

3. The NBA Experience

This is one of the newer offerings coming to Disney Springs, featuring a variety of interactive basketball experiences, a restaurant, merchandise selections and more.  The location is being opened in the building where Disney Quest used to be and it set to officially debut this summer.  It is sure to be a popular destination for the sports fans out there.

2. Raglan Road Irish Pub

This is one of the more popular hangout locations in all of Disney Springs.  There are delicious food and drink offerings, plus guests can enjoy live Irish music, Irish dancing and more.  It is one of the more unique places to enjoy at Walt Disney World, especially if you want a traditional Irish experience.  It is so much fun for the whole family or for the late night adult outing.  If you haven’t been, you definitely need to add this one to your list for your next visit.

All of the fun doesn’t just happen indoors!  There is a variety of different entertainment and performers throughout Disney Springs that are entertaining guests all day long.  There are musical performances, light shows, DJ entertainment and more.  It varies depending on the day and time, but you can pretty much guarantee that there is something fun happening on the streets of Disney Springs somewhere.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
