Disney-Inspired New Year’s Resolutions for 2023

2023 is just days away, so now is a great time to consider any resolutions you plan on making for the New Year. Before you eye roll, we’ve considered New Year resolutions that you can stick to, not just in January of 2023, but throughout the year. There are New Year’s resolutions that will suit those of you who will be visiting the Disney Parks in 2023 and those who will be taking a break from a Disney vacation in the coming year. Whether you choose one or many, we’re sure that these Disney-inspired New Year’s resolutions will be something you can achieve next year.

Stay in a New Resort

It’s likely to be on every Disney fan’s bucket list to stay in every Disney Resort hotel worldwide. To stay in all of the Resorts in Walt Disney World is an achievement, and you may still have a few Resorts left to stay in. 2023 will be the perfect year to experience a new Disney Resort when vacationing in Walt Disney World. If it’s a Deluxe Resort you are yet to stay in, why not book a staycation for a night and experience all the hotel offers in 24 hours?

Alternatively, venture a little further afield, and visit one of Disney’s beach Resorts. Disney’s Vero Beach is just a short drive from the Walt Disney World Resort, so why end your vacation with some relaxation on a white-sanded beach? Disney’s Hilton Head Island is another option to consider, offering a little Disney magic in South Carolina. You could even catch a flight to Hawaii and experience all that Disney’s Aulani has to offer.

Dine in a New Restaurant

We all have our favorite Disney restaurants, but trying somewhere new is always a good idea. Why not try somewhere that’s been on your list for a while but you haven’t yet dined? Or secure an advance dining reservation in a Disney restaurant coming to the Walt Disney World Resort soon? Rodeo Roundup BBQ or Rosa Mexicano could be the places to visit in early 2023.

Start a New Tradition

Are you newly engaged or married, or have a new addition to the family on the way? 2023 is the perfect year to begin a new tradition. This could be anything from taking a Disney vacation to celebrate an occasion each year to getting a photo at the same spot each visit, buying a dated Christmas ornament during each visit, or sending a postcard to yourselves from each vacation.

Watch every Disney movie that you’re yet to see

Disney+ makes it easy to watch brand-new Disney movies and series and catch up on any that you have yet to see. Why not list all the Disney movies you have yet to watch, then tick them off throughout the year? Before you know it, you’ll have watched them all and be ready for any new ones released.

Read new books

A new year is a great time to make a promise to dedicate more time to yourself. One way you can do this is to set a goal to read several books throughout the year. A target of just one book per month is a sensible starting point. You could even make a list of all of the books you wish to read. There are plenty of Disney books that you can read, from childhood favorites to autobiographical books that will provide you an insight into the Imagineers behind well-loved attractions, characters, movies, and more.

Set yourself a Challenge

When setting a New Year’s resolution, fitness is often a go-to for many people. runDisney events help to provide Guests with a challenge to aim for and achieve. If you’ve always wanted to get into running, why not sign up for a runDisney 5k or 10k to help motivate you to succeed? If you’re a seasoned runner who has yet to complete a long-distance run or want to achieve a PB, then why not sign up for a half or full marathon hosted by runDisney? Whichever event you sign up for, you can combine your love of the Disney theme parks with fitness and maybe even a new hobby.

Take a vacation inspired by Disney

There’s nothing wrong with feeling like you need a break from a Disney vacation. A visit to the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort is exhausting and can leave you feeling tired rather than rejuvenated. If this sounds like you, then why not see 2023 as an opportunity to take a Disney-inspired vacation rather than a trip to a Disney theme park. Let the EPCOT World Showcase inspire your travel, and visit one of the countries where you would usually stop for a drink when visiting the Disney Park. Alternatively, let a Disney movie inspire your travel, and plan to vacation in a country in which your favorite Disney movie is set. Where will your love of Disney take you?

Time for a new career

Have you always dreamt of working for The Walt Disney Company? Then make 2023 the year that your dream comes true. Fill in that application or go to that job interview, and if it’s meant for you, take that leap and relocate so that you can make magic every day for Guests.

What will your New Year’s resolution be, and what will 2023 hold for you? We hope that whatever you choose will bring you happiness, magic, and success for 2023. Happy New Year!
