Disney Cast Member Removed in the Middle of Parade

A video posted by @allthings_disney_ on TikTok captured an unusual scene at the Disneyland Resort yesterday. The Main Street Electrical Parade was steaming through the crowd as usual with its iconic train in the lead, when all of the sudden, the parade came to a stop.

If you look closely at the driver, you’ll notice it’s Goofy, who has always led the cavalcade. Before he stops the train, he motions to a Cast Member nearby.

The Cast Member, who we can only observe in silhouette form, hesitantly approaches. Meanwhile, an abundance of onlookers can be seen recording the whole incident as it unfolds.

During the discussion, Mickey and Minnie can also be seen in the background carrying on with their dancing as if nothing is happening. Goofy grabs his head as you can hear Guests in the ground picking up on the fact that something is wrong.

The discussion continues with Guests trying to figure out what’s going on. “Is it broken?” someone says. Another Cast Member approaches, followed by another as they try to figure out how they’re going to handle the situation.

The next thing we know, Goofy is climbing out of the train to thunderous applause. Completely staying in character, he marches along the street away from the float.

After some time, the parade begins again, with a new Cast Member to fill in for Goofy. Hats off to Disney for the incredibly organized way they handle situations like this.

In fact, everyone involved contributed to making this a positive situation. From the Cast Members who stayed completely in character to the fans who patiently waited and cheered for Goofy when he disembarked, the whole situation was handled beautifully.

As you can see from the text in the video Goofy, unfortunately, suffered from poor vision, which is why authorities say he motioned for help. We hope this amazing Cast Member fully recovers so he can come back and delight Guests again with his presence.
