While we enjoy seeing Mickey pumpkins and fall decorations, along with tasting all of Disney’s latest fall food and beverages, we can’t help but eagerly await the arrival of the winter season and holidays at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are preparing for the Holidays at Disneyland Resort which is always a spectacular time to visit the Parks. With Christmas trees, sparkling lights, and a dose of jolly around every corner, it’s a memorable time for any Disney fan. This year’s Holidays at Disneyland Resort is available from November 11, 2022, to January 8, 2023.

One of the things Disneyland Resort is most known for is its attraction overlays for the holiday season. For example, Haunted Mansion gets all decked out for Halloween and Christmas with The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) overlay.
Take note, as the iconic “it’s a small world” attraction at Disneyland Park is also preparing for its Holiday overlay with a scheduled closing soon to prepare for the holiday magic.

According to the Disneyland website, “it’s a small world” will be closed for refurbishment from October 24, to November 10, 2022, and will reopen on November 11, 2022, as “it’s a small world” Holiday during Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.”
Disney describes the “it’s a small world” Holiday as “An Exuberant Holiday Experience”:
“Set sail along a wondrous wintry waterway transformed with whimsical décor. Behold jubilant regional adornments all along your world tour of good cheer. Listen as the costumed chorus of children sings the classic “It’s a Small World (After All)” song and traditional holiday tunes. The enchantment begins as you approach the iconic façade, which is adorned with thousands of shimmering lights for the season.“

While we’ll need to wait to experience the classic attraction during its three-week closure until early November, it is well worth it, as the “it’s a small world” holiday layover is absolutely stunning!
